One of our younger customers left us this VERY thorough review* during the summer holidays… and Cia is proudly presenting the results 😂❤️

We’re pleased to report a couple of solid 10/10s for the jacket potato and Coke 🥔🙌

Brownies and coffee & ginger scored a respectable 9/10, while the sausages managed 8/10.

Clearly we’ve still got some work to do if we want that clean sweep of 10s… 😂

As for the apple scoring 1/10 🍎 — we don’t actually sell apples, so we can only assume that one was brought from home for independent testing. We’re officially distancing ourselves from that result. 😂

And apparently the lack of pancakes was also noted… 👀🥞 We will definitely look to rectify that!

We absolutely love finding little things like this. Whoever you were, thank you for making us smile! ❤️

A bit of a changing of the guard at Monks Yard! ❤️

Sadly we’re having to say goodbye (for now!) to Cally(left), who’s been part of our team but has had to leave us after her college days changed.

But there’s a familiar face taking her place… her younger sister Sammy, who had her very first day with us today! 🥰

We’re really sorry to see Cally go, but delighted to welcome Sammy to the Monks Yard team. Judging by day one, we think she’ll fit in rather well!

You’ve been amazing and we’re genuinely all going to miss you Cally!
And of course welcome aboard, Sammy! ☕️🍰❤️

Jill’s been busy again… and today’s creation is a mango & white chocolate cheesecake. And yes, it’ll taste every bit as good as it looks! 😍

We’re delighted to have retained our Food Hygiene Rating of 5 – Very Good following our latest inspection.

We’ve maintained the top rating throughout our time here at Horton Manor, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of. A huge thank you to the whole team for the hard work that goes into maintaining those standards every day. ❤️

New signs are up! 🙌

A big thank you to Carly Press Print & Design and DesignBean for bringing our new Monks Yard signage to life — we’re absolutely delighted with how it’s turned out.

And a special thank you to Grahame and Luke, who worked incredibly hard getting everything fitted today in some serious Somerset heat! ☀️🥵

Great job, gentlemen — very much appreciated. 👏

Hopefully the new signs will make us a little harder to miss! 👀☕️ Although we’ve been here since 2007 so.. 😀
