HOUSE OF BREAD | WEST YORKSHIRE BAKERY is an independent bakery in Shipley and their counter is basically what dreams are made of.

Cinnamon swirls, cardamom & walnut twists, szarlotka, ridiculously good buns and plenty more.

Our first delivery landed at BLOOMS today and just LOOK at it.

Roundhay this weekend 🌿🎨

I’ll be joining Paul Heaney this weekend for Art in the Park.
If you’ve never been before, it’s a lovely way to spend a few hours exploring Roundhay Park, meeting local artists and makers, and discovering plenty of independent businesses along the way.

I’ll be there serving our usual blooms goods.

Yorkshire Day is nearly here. 🥳

This weekend you’ll find me on The Grove in Ilkley for one of my favourite weekends of the year.

Yorkshire Day has become such a brilliant celebration of everything that makes this part of the world special. It’s a chance to support local independents, discover talented Yorkshire makers, enjoy great food and music, and see the town absolutely buzzing with people.

Events like this don’t just happen. They take months of planning and a huge amount of work behind the scenes, so a massive thank you to Olicana Events CIC Real Markets Yorkshire Ilkley Live and all the volunteers who give up their time to make it happen. It really is a fantastic example of what a community can achieve when everyone pulls together.

I’ll be there Saturday serving specialty coffee, homemade bakes and plenty of iced drinks. And with Saturday looking like it’s going to be a cracking Yorkshire day, it should be the perfect excuse to get into town, support local businesses and enjoy everything that’s on offer.

If you’re out and about, come and say hello. I’d love to see some familiar faces and hopefully a few new ones too.

This Sunday, from 9am, you’ll find Blooms keeping runners, supporters and spectators fuelled throughout the day.

On the menu? Coffee from our friends Maude Coffee Roasters , homemade lemonades, fresh iced teas, beautiful bakes, and all your Blooms favourites.

Whether you’re chasing a PB, cheering from the sidelines or simply soaking up the atmosphere, come and find us for a well-earned pause.
