Hi and welcome to anyone who has recently joined us here at sugar and steam.
My name is Emma and I am the proud new owner of sugar and steam mobile coffee van - a local, family run business based in the beautiful Derbyshire and surrounding areas. Although you may not always see my husband jamie at the van, he is often busy helping me in the background and as always, supporting me every step of the way.
Funny thing is, he has been trying to convince me of this venture for a few years now and I always batted him away or found reasons why I couldn't possibly pursue the idea. I dont entirely know what changed but back in May I said yes with no van, no stock, no idea really of where to start. Cue my surprise when only a short time later our van crossed our path and seemed ideal and the rest as they say is history.
We've spent the summer working hard cleaning, putting everything in place, training, sourcing the best local suppliers, making bookings ready for our launch at the beginning of September and here we are.
Together we aim to provide you with barista style coffee and a variety of other hot drinks out in the community. Why not treat yourself to a sweet treat to accompany your drink of choice and slow the world down for a short time. In a world where we sometimes seem to be losing our connections, enjoy a friendly smile and warm welcome.
