🍞 A little Christmas Day preparation! 🎄❤️

I've been busy practising my homemade bread ready for our Christmas Day celebrations at Sam's Table!

There's something lovely about the smell of freshly baked bread, especially when it comes out beautifully golden, soft and fluffy. And let's be fair, you can't beat a warm slice with plenty of butter! 😍

I'm slowly working my way through all the little details for Christmas Day, practising different dishes and making sure everything is just right for our guests.

There's still plenty of practising, tasting and tweaking to do over the coming weeks, but I'm rather pleased with how this one turned out! ❤️

And of course, Kel was more than happy to be chief taste tester! 😂 A little freshly baked bread and butter for his snack before we head out tonight! 🍞🧈

It's the little touches that I hope will make Christmas Day at Sam's Table that extra bit special. 🎄❤️

🎡🍔 ILKESTON CHARTER FAIR – WE'VE GOT THE FOOD SORTED! 🌭🎡

Heading to Ilkeston Fair this October? Make sure you stop by Sam's Table at The Latch Lifter!
We'll be firing up the BBQ outside the pub from Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th October, serving up some proper fairground favourites!

🌭 The Butcher's Footlong – £6 A proper footlong hot dog in a toasted roll, topped with crispy onions, mustard & ketchup.

🥣 Minted Mushy Peas – £2 Proper mushy peas with a hint of fresh mint!

We're keeping things simple, serving up good-quality food using locally sourced meat, freshly cooked and ready to keep you fuelled for all the fairground fun!

🍺 And of course, with The Latch Lifter right behind us, there's somewhere to enjoy a drink, rest your feet and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the fair!

We're already looking ahead to next Tuesday's Pie Carvery Night, and bookings are coming in!
With limited tables available, if you're planning on joining us, we'd recommend getting booked in sooner rather than later.

With a great selection of pies to choose from, all freshly cooked to order, plus our help-yourself carvery of:
