As some of you know, PROJECT CAFE at Hattersley Garden Centre had to close a little while ago. I lost my dad just before Christmas, we then had a couple of family emergencies along with personal medical issues, it all became too much and we had to close urgently.
Within 48 hrs we told the garden centre that we wanted to reopen after a short break, (after working 6/7 days per week) but we were told that 'The board' won't allow it because we closed so suddenly! They then changed the gate code, sent us an inaccurate and unprofessional email and told us to get our things out but then denied access at times!?! I'm not saying they were waiting for an excuse to get rid of us (not that we did anything wrong) but, we lost over £8,000 and they gained a renovated building with plumbing and electricity.......and they have advertised needing a 'tea room manager' before we'd even got all our things out ....... I'm sure they'll have more to say, but there's evidence and witnesses for all of this....
