Good coffee deserves better packaging ☕🌱

At Castle Street Coffee, we’re proud to use who use a range of sustainable materials to create their compostable and recyclable packaging!

From our coffee cups and napkins, to our plastic cups and lids, everything is 100% compostable ♻️

We’re also proud to be working alongside Gray Composting who help us compost our cups, and used coffee grounds into organic compost — keeping more waste out of landfill and giving it a second life 🌍

We thought it was time to share a bit more about the coffee we serve 💚☕️

Lisa Lawson founded Dear Green, based in Glasgow, in 2011, becoming Scotland’s first speciality coffee roaster and they are now an award winning B-Corp!

Speciality coffee is the highest quality coffee available.

Coffee is graded on a 100-point scale by professional tasters.

* 80+ points = Speciality coffee
* Below that is considered commercial coffee

Speciality coffee focuses on:

✔ Quality beans
✔ Ethical sourcing
✔ Fair prices for farmers
✔ Careful roasting
✔ Skilled brewing

Every step is carefully managed to bring out the best flavours of the coffee bean.

Our house coffee from Dear Green is Goosedubbs which has tasting notes of milk chocolate, plum and pecan!
