We're hiring!

We're looking for someone enthusiastic and friendly to work with us to make our shop in Hilton become known for the best coffee for miles around.

No barista experience necessary but you must be interested in coffee and willing to learn. A positive attitude is #1 with previous barista experience a very distant second.

Tasting Event @ Wildcard next Saturday (21st)!

We always want to make our coffee a wonderful experience, so we constantly experiment with exciting new beans.

Our House Roast is a Brazilian sweet and chocolatey bean. We have been roasting this for a long time and our profiles are finely tuned to get the most out of this consistently amazing bean.

The El Salvador is more fruity while still maintaining a warmth and sweetness. Amazing in drinks with less milk, like a flat white or cortado.

Our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is roasted for maximum fruitiness, like blueberries and vanilla, with a clean acidity that is pleasant, like biting into a fresh apple (not like a lemon).

Come in and book yourself in to our tasting event. You're going to love the first 2023 beans 😍

Good espresso is like science!
The variables are tough to get right. For us it starts with the roasting. We roast all of our coffee in Elsworth, and we carefully select the green beans and roast profiles to get the best possible flavour.
then at the cafe we have to consider the grind, the dose, the temperature, the yield, and that's not to mention adjusting those things for different roast levels and even the ambient temperature that day.
Making good coffee is complicated, but oh so worth it when you get that amazing rich flavour.

We're open and serving coffee to the lovely people of Hilton.
Latte art is not essential for a good cup of coffee, but it does tell you one thing: the milk was steamed properly. You can't get a nice clean latte art pattern without properly aerated milk, so when you see this in a cafe it's a sign that they got at least this part right 😉
