We love how many cyclists find their way to the Humbie Hub while out exploring the East Lothian countryside.

There’s always plenty of coffee, good food and cake waiting at the end of the ride, plus space to sit outside and enjoy the view when the weather is kind to us.

The Humbie Hub has evolved over the years, but the heart of it is still the same.

It’s still a place built around community, run by local people and designed to be genuinely useful to the people around it. Whether that’s grabbing lunch, picking up essentials from the shop, posting parcels, meeting friends, viewing local artwork or working remotely for the afternoon.

If you haven’t visited in a while, there’s a good chance there’ll be something new to discover next time you pop in.

You'll find us in the heart of Humbie - your village shop, Post Office and cafe all under one roof.

We've been part of this community since 2015, and we're still here for all the things that matter to a local community: a pint of milk, doing the post, a properly nice coffee and cake and lots of friendly faces.

Pop in and see us if you're passing. We'd love to see you (and the scones are really good too)...

Always fresh in and looking good and tasty!

The veg rack is always stocked and ready for your veggie essentials - grab what you need without the supermarket trip. Local, seasonal and always worth a look when you pop in.

This flour starts in the fields of a family farm just down the road in East Lothian - a region known as the Breadbasket of Scotland for very good reason.

Mungoswells sow, grow, harvest, mill and package everything on-site. It doesn't get much more local than that.

We've got all different sorts available in the shop - organic, wholemeal and bread flour. Perfect if you've got a loaf or a cake to bake this weekend.

We’re very lucky to stock products from Yester Farm Dairies here at the Humbie Hub.

Based just along the road in East Lothian, Yester Farm Dairies produce an incredible range of soft cheeses, yogurts, cottage cheese and crème fraîche using milk straight from their family farm.

Everything is made on-site by husband and wife team Simon and Jackie McCreery, keeping food miles low and freshness high.

It’s exactly the kind of local business we love supporting and we know many of our customers already come in specially for their products.

One of the things people often say about the Humbie Hub is that it feels friendly and welcoming, and that’s exactly what we want it to be.

Somewhere you can stop in muddy boots after a walk, arrive on bikes halfway through exploring East Lothian, bring the kids, bring the dog, meet a friend for coffee or settle in with your laptop for an hour or two.

We’re very proud to be a proper community hub as well as a café and shop, and we love seeing such a mix of people through the doors each week.

Another brilliant local supplier you’ll find here at the Humbie Hub is Chocolate Tree.

Based in East Lothian, Chocolate Tree has been creating award-winning organic chocolate since 2005 using sustainably sourced cacao from smallholder farms in South and Central America.

Their approach is thoughtful from start to finish, from biodiversity and ethical sourcing through to recyclable and biodegradable packaging, but most importantly for us... the chocolate is absolutely delicious.

Their chocolate bars are delicious - it’s the sort of product people often come back for once they’ve tried it.

Just down the road in East Linton, Preston Mill is one of the oldest working watermills in Scotland. The River Tyne still powers the wheel, and the guided tours are genuinely worth your time.

Afterwards, walk across to the 16th-century Phantassie Doocot and have a wander round the village. A lovely half-day out from the Hub - open Thursday to Monday, March to October.
