I am sorry that nothing has appeared on here for a while. Attempts to get a group set up to collect food that otherwise would be thrown away, and share it with the community, have so far not been sucessful.

[THE REAL JUNK TOOTH PROJECT - BACK AGAIN!)

made the national stage with this voluntary project in early 2016 and gathered sufficient data to fire up the next phase with a mobile dental clinic funded to visit the following locations in North Kirklees in the coming weeks.

The service will provide pain relief , extractions, small fillings, preventative treatment and advice

Sessions are afternoon and early evening.

SEPTEMBER
Monday 18th - Pentlands school
Tuesday 19th - Pentlands school .
Wednesday 20th - Mirfield Community Centre
Thursday 21st - Mirfield Community Centre

Monday 25th - Dewsbury town hall

Tuesday 26th - Chickenley Community Centre
Wednesday 27th - Chickenley Community Centre

Thursday 28th - Greenwood Centre, Ravensthorpe
Friday 29th - Greenwood Centre, Ravensthorpe.

OCTOBER
Monday 2nd - Venue to be confirmed
Tuesday 3rd -Venue to be confirmed

Its with regret having a long hard thought over the weekend we as a tra although it is a great idea we cannot support this adventure as at this time we dont have the time and volunteers to support this venture we just want to keep out tra and community centre as it is . as the community centre and tra will be a hive of activity at the start of november and the bond we have with the current tra and volunteers and the children are the important venture we have at this time and we dont want to spoil it i hope everyone understands

If you would like to get involved and volunteer to collect the food at supermarkets please let us know its a win win situation for all the people in Almondbury why walk away from Food that supermarkets throw out with your help we can share the food out to you your parents your grand parents basically anyone can get involved you dont have to be poor you dont have to be rich we just want you to eat the food how easy please like the page and invite more people and spread the word

The Morrison's Supermarket has been contacted. They have told me they are dealing with the Welcome Centre distributing goods. They are also helping the Wesley Centre in Almondbury very soon. they will be providing food to be cooked there. Unfortunately it looks as though we will be back of the queue as they hve made these two the main recipients of aid and the Highlands could only have what would be left over. I will go along to the Wesley centre to see if we can work something out.
