What a fantastic start! 🎉

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for our opening day yesterday. It was brilliant meeting so many of you, welcoming you through the doors, and getting to know our new locals.

We’ve been blown away by the feedback already—especially the compliments on our fresh food quality, the generous portions, and how happy and smiley the new team is!

Please note that we are easing into things, so the following opening hours apply to this week only while we get up and running:

The wait is finally over! We are absolutely thrilled to open the doors of The Royal and Ancient this coming Sunday. It’s been closed for a little while, but we are officially opening and have some massive updates for you.

Here is everything you need to know to get your tables booked for our big relaunch:

Bookings Only. (Reservations are essential)
Food served:12:00 PM – 4:45 PM (Last orders at 5:00 PM)
The Deal:We are running an exclusive reduced menu with incredible value—2 courses for £20 or 3 courses for £27.95!

STARTERS

Prawn Cocktail (GFA):
North Atlantic prawns in a Marie Rose sauce, crisp lettuce, and brown bread & butter.

Tomato & Basil Soup (V, GFA):
Homemade, served with warm crusty bread & butter.

Garlic Mushrooms (V, GFA):
Creamy garlic mushrooms on a toasted garlic ciabatta.

MAINS

Sunday Roast (GFA):
Choose from beef, pork shoulder, turkey, or vegetarian sausage. Served with roast potatoes, creamy mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, and rich gravy.

Homemade Steak & Ale Pie:
Served with mash and seasonal vegetables.

Baked Salmon (GF):
Served with baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and a creamy prawn sauce.

✨ A Big Royal & Ancient Update ✨

It’s been a busy few weeks behind the scenes, but we’re finally seeing the pub come back to life.

The kitchen has had a full deep clean — We hit a few challenges along the way, so we brought in the brilliant team from 2 of a Kind Cleaning Company LTD , led by Cherrelle, who absolutely smashed it and got the kitchen shining again.

The bar area has been fully cleaned by the team here, and the bar floor was professionally done by ST Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning — and the difference is unreal. The whole place feels fresh, bright, and ready for the next chapter.

Your Manager Jayne, and Head Chef Rhyce, can’t wait to welcome everyone back through the doors soon.
