“Tried 3 bites of the brownie and I've had to put it down before I eat it all in one go!! Wow wow wow. I dunno what you do to your brownies but I still stand by one of the best brownies I've tasted.” 🤩
Well... if that isn't THE perfect message to receive on a Friday evening after 5 days of slog fitted into a 48 hour window 🫩 I don't know what is 🥰

This came from a customer who's visited The Bake Shed before but hasn't been for a little while — and apparently three bites into her first brownie back she had to physically remove herself from the situation before the whole thing disappeared 😂
She also messaged me to say she “couldn't believe the SIZE of them big cookies”, which made me laugh after somebody on TikTok asked last weekend whether they'd heard me correctly when I said the cookies were £4 each. 😂 They are £4... but they're certainly not your average little biscuit!

And all of this has reminded me that it's been an absolute AGE since I did my occasional shameless little review beg... 👀😂

Obviously there's absolutely no obligation, but reviews really do help a tiny business like mine. When somebody who's never been before is wondering whether to make the trip, hearing from people who've actually eaten my bakes means far more than me telling them they're good. 😂
And, selfishly, I bloody love reading them too. In what can often be a hard and sad world, I am absolutely a “spread the joy” kinda person. I love hearing that I've brought a little light into someone's average day by way of cake. 🤍

I've no idea how I managed to even think about what I was going to bake for the shed this weekend nevermind doing the ingredients shop but somehow I've managed it 🤪 and so...

The Salted Caramel Cake is one I've not made in FOREVER but I remember it being top drawer 🤌 — an individual vanilla sponge absolutely covered in homemade salted caramel sauce while it's still warm. I'm not telling you how to eat it but I'd absolutely not judge if you warmed it up and indulged in a little ice-cream/pouring cream duo 🤤🤤
And after making its debut last week, Garlic Herb Cheese Bread is BACK! Alongside the old faithful Jalapeño & Cheddar, obviously. 🧄🧀

As always, everything is £4. Nice and simple.

Right... that's the menu sorted. Now comes the minor matter of actually making all of it... Ha.... Ha.... Help 🫠😅

I am VERY late with this week's menu reveal compared to the last few weeks.
I genuinely feel like I've lost an entire day somewhere. I'm not sure how, but I can only assume there's been some sort of bend in the time-space continuum.
Possibly related to the mega insomnia I had on Sunday night which resulted in the grand total of 2.5 hours' sleep. Yippee! 🥳
Anyway, apparently it's now the early hours of Thursday and you probably want to know what I'm baking, so HERE YOU GO...

Now, the Butterscotch Tart is on there thanks to a customer request, and I'm rather excited to see how that goes down because it is ages and ages since it made an appearance in the shed. I'm going to go for a big traybake-style tart rather than individual ones because I do occasionally make decisions that don't involve creating as much unnecessary work for myself as humanly possible 🫣, yes it's very rare 🤣, but it is a possibility....
And the Garlic Herb Cheese Bread is another little experiment this week — buttery garlic, herbs and plenty of cheese, which frankly sounds like a fairly difficult combination to bu**er up. 🤞
Everything £4, as usual 🤍

Right. Menu revealed. That's one thing I've successfully located in the missing 24 hours of this week.
Now I should probably go to bed, build up my energy for the days ahead 🏋️🛌🧑‍🍳
