Just after 4 years from when we opened Cafe Eden, its with a sad heart that I have to make this post. This is the last week of the cafe being open.

I just want to say thank you to Hornsea, to my friends, to my staff and to my customers for the journey that it has been. We've totally loved our time serving you all at the cafe, and when I dreamt of having a cafe for all those many years before we got the keys, I could never have known what an experience it would have been! I'm grateful that we had the time to become a part of the community.
The cafe might be closing, but EDEN as a brand is continuing. The catering is still going and as my last post mentioned, we are morphing the cafe down into a takeaway sandwich shop that will be opening in July just down the road from where the cafe is now (at the Eden Catering unit)
So, this week will be the last week that you can enjoy one of our breakfasts, or a butty and a brew to sit in, or a breakfast wrap. Please come in and show your support for our little independent business as we finish this current journey before picking ourselves up and starting again with the next thing. Your custom is and has always been very much appreciated.

Cafe Eden
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that the cafe will be closing permanently at the end of the day Saturday 13th June. It is beyond our control, our lease has run out and due to circumstances that I won't go into, we are unable to extend our lease.
Having the cafe was a dream of mine for over 10 years before we got it 4 Years ago. It's been a wonderful experience and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve Hornsea and become part of the fabulous community that our seaside town is known for.
The cafe was always supposed to be a safe place for people to come, and a place to get good food and company. This, I think we managed to do. The economy is so hard at the moment and we are all feeling the burden of it. But as I prepare to close the doors at 21 Southgate, I am gearing up to open the door to a new venture just down the road. As many of you know I also have an outside catering business which is still going to be active, but as I have the unit at 2b Southgate (just at the traffic lights) we are moving our operations down there and will be opening a sandwich shop, serving sandwiches, salads and more to takeaway. So whilst the cafe will be no more, Eden Catering and The Sandwich Shop will begin its new time the beginning of July. So watch this space for more information about opening times and menu options. Its a sad time for me...but also exciting as we see what the future holds in a slightly different way.

Why not pop in and say hi...grab a breakfast or a sandwich to keep you going throughout your day...we have our delicious French press coffee and yorkshire tea which you can add to a sandwich deal for £6.50.
Takeaway orders get a 10% discount also.
