Due to staff shortages and staff holiday (as obviously it happens at once haha!)

We will be closing at 1500 tomorrow (Friday 18th Sept) and 1600 on Saturday 19th Sept. Food will be finishing at 1400 tomorrow and as normal at 1500 on Saturday.

We are so sorry for the inconvenience this may cause!

Putting everyone’s mind at ease.. we ONLY use eggs from Simon's Free Range Eggs

Unfortunately, you may have seen the recent news about people becoming ill after consuming imported eggs.

There has recently been a surge of cheaper imported eggs entering the UK. Egg production standards and controls can vary between countries, so we wanted to reassure our customers about the standards we follow here at Simon’s Free Range Eggs & Farm Shop.

As UK egg producers, we operate under the UK National Control Programme for Salmonella, which includes regular Salmonella monitoring. We’re pleased to say that our latest test, carried out, came back “Not Detected”.

We also undergo strict annual audits by APHA (Animal and Plant Health Agency) officials to ensure we continue to meet the required Salmonella and Welfare control standards.

🥚 How can you tell where your eggs come from?

If you’re ever unsure about the origin of your eggs, check the stamp on the shell.

For example, our stamp is:

1 UK 16220

* 1 = Free Range production
* UK = Produced in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧
* 16220 = Our unique producer number

So when you buy our eggs, you know exactly where they have come from and that they are produced under UK regulations and controls.

We will be stopping all HOT FOOD from 1300 today too. Sorry for any inconvenience 🐾

TOMORROW, Thursday 13th August - We will be stopping all HOT FOOD from 1300 (including toasties) . It is over 45°c In the kitchen so it is not sensible or safe for us to be cooking hot food in these temperatures. We will still be doing all cold food including sandwiches, Acai Bowls, granola bowls etc. Drinks are available as normal!
