We're directly above Bar Biccari, in the heart of Horbury village; serving twelve types of prosecco, a range of classic and in-house cocktails, high quality spirits and a selection of rotating bottled craft beers. Running in conjunction with the restaurant downstairs, we welcome you to come and enjoy a few glasses of apertif prosecco before your meal, or watch the sun set on our balcony after you've dined with us. We make sure we love everything we sell, but if there's something you'd like to see us stock, we're always open to ideas.

🦪 A little something happened upstairs yesterday…

Our Oyster Festival was one for the books. Fresh oysters, lovely prawn & chicken skewers, cocktails in hand, music in the air and some seriously happy faces along the way.

If you were there, you know.
If you weren’t… well, you rather missed a trick. 😉

A quiet thank you to our brilliant bar team for keeping things flowing, our guest chef Paul for working the grill and sending out some incredible food, and Alfie for creating the atmosphere that made the afternoon what it was.

And if you think that was our only little secret…

Something a little special is coming to The Halpenny…

Join us for our very first Oyster Festival, bringing together fresh oysters, exceptional food and perfectly poured cocktails for one seriously indulgent evening.

We’re delighted to be joined by Paul Cunliffe, who will be preparing our oysters alongside a selection of specially created dishes for the afternoon.

With nearly 30 years of award-winning culinary experience, Paul has held the position of Head Chef at Harvey Nichols, as well as leading kitchens at The Star Inn the Harbour and The Star Inn the City. During his time as Chef Patron at The Dunsforth Public House & Dining, he was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Expect oysters on ice, coastal-inspired dishes, cocktails in hand, live music and plenty of shucking good times.

What a weekend.

To everyone who joined us for our opening weekend, thank you. Seeing the space filled with so many familiar and new faces made every late night, every decision, and every detail worthwhile.

If you couldn’t make it, or you’d prefer to experience The Halpenny at a slower pace, we’re back open from Tuesday. The perfect chance to settle in, enjoy a properly crafted cocktail, and take in the atmosphere without the weekend rush.
