We’ve 2 games at 4 am and they’re Egypt 🇪🇬 v Iran 🇮🇷 then New Zealand 🇳🇿 v Belgium 🇧🇪

Facts of the day:
Uruguay has qualified 15 times winning the first ever competition in 1930 and twenty years later winning it again.
It’s Panamas 2nd tournament the first time in 2018 unfortunately they didn’t get out of the groups.

England are currently ranked 4th in the world. Captain Harry Kane, most capped player Peter Shilton.

Facts of the day :
Argentina have made 19 appearances and have won it 3 times, 1978, 1986 and 2022 making them the current holders. ( let’s hope they remembered to bring the trophy back 😂) Portugal have made 9 appearances, the first time in 1966, now that rings a bell 🤔 would that be when we had the famous saying ( they think it’s all over, it is now) was made.

The England squad has been known as The Three Lions since 1872 but the 1966 team was dubbed the Wingless Wonders, and not the Three Lions this was due to Alf Ramsey ‘s formation using more wingers than the traditional 4-4-2 system.

And if you don't know, all that foam stuck to the glass is called "lacing" and it's a sign that you're in a top quality pub. For lacing to occur, every part of the process needs to be perfect, from the brew at the start of the process, to the conditioning when it gets to us, to having a "beer-clean" glass and finally the pour itself.

Lacing forms when hydrophobic (water-repelling) proteins from malted barley and hop compounds bind to carbon dioxide bubbles and stick to the glass, leaving behind a trail of foam. If the glass contains microscopic residues of grease, lipstick, or soap, the foam cannot adhere to the sides and will slide right back into the liquid.

We don't settle for anything less than perfection here. Come to a pub that does things right 🍻

⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️Start of a new week of football, plenty of games to go. Today’s early games were Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 v Ecuador 🇪🇨 & Sweden 🇸🇪 v Tunisia 🇹🇳 Our later games are Spain 🇪🇸 v Cape Verde🇨🇻 that’s at 5 pm & at 8pm its Belgium 🇧🇪 v Egypt 🇪🇬
Well done to Germany yesterday’ lots of goals , looks like someone has shown Van D**e & Isak where the goal is on a football pitch 😂

Facts of the day:
Ecuador has participated 5 times, Egypt 4 times but neither has gone past the last sixteen. Spain however has qualified 17 times winning in 2010 however France has also competed 17 times but has won it twice 1998 & 2018.
Looks like another interesting day of football ⚽️
