Holmfirth is buzzing with creativity this week as Holmfirth Artweek officially opens it’s doors.

This original watercolour artwork of the towns rooftops ‘From Coopers Yard’ is for sale in the main exhibition at The Civic, Holmfirth with 20% donated to MacMillan cancer charities.

🚗Parking
Marshalled Event parking will be available on the field by Holmfirth Swimming Pool from 11am.
PLEASE NOTE: the Holmfirth Swimming Pool car park should not be used for event parking . Thank you for helping us keep this clear.

🚶‍♀️ Pedestrians
If you are walking to the event, please use pavements and designated crossing points where possible and take extra care around roads and busy areas.
PLEASE NOTE: 🚧
Pavement access may be affected due to the current roadworks.

🚌 Public Transport
Holmfirth is served by local bus routes, with the centre just a short distance from Sands Recreation Ground.
PLEASE NOTE: Sunday bus timetable may not be as frequent as during the week.

🚕 Taxi
If you are arriving by taxi, we recommend being dropped off near the Co-op car park. It is only a short walk following the river to the Sands Recreation Ground.

🐥 Duck Launch 2pm
The Duck launch will take place at 2pm from the bridge in the centre of Holmfirth. If you're planning to watch, please make your way to the bridge in good time and follow any instructions from the stewards on the day.

Art Week starts today 🖼️ 🎨 🖼️

It's nearly time!

The main exhibition of Holmfirth Artweek opens this Sunday. Tickets cost £3 each and allow repeat visits throughout the week. We're also open until 9pm on weekdays so there's plenty of time to browse the exhibition after work.

There'll also be the Holmfirth Duck Race happening in Holmfirth on Sunday 5th at 2pm, making a great day out for all the family, but be aware the car parks may be extremely busy during this time... they're usually quieter (and free) after 4pm.

It’s Duck Race today! Events on Sands Rec from 11am. Ducks are released into the river in the centre of Holmfirth (just opp Sid’s) at 2pm.
