Single origin Saturday - Honduras Rosely Hernandez.

It’s my dream come true, I could cry with emotion” was what Rosely told us when we launched her coffee. She usually sells to the local co-operative where she doesn’t see what happens to it.

Full-bodied, balanced and comforting, her coffee is best as a cafetiere or latte and works perfectly with milk.

Dark chocolate, red grape and caramel - ideal for fans of Langhūs or Dagr.

If you liked Dagr or Fjødr but want a break from your favourite blend - try Colombia Popayán Reserve.

Crisp and satisfying as a filter and bright and sparkly as an espresso this will also catch your eye if you love Langhūs but sometimes wish it was a little bit lighter and brighter.

Eclipse is a moment to wonder at the power and drama of the Universe.

Suddenly, darkness envelops you. Soon it will pass, but for now it is you, the Moon and the Earth locked in a coincidental projection where everything goes dark for a few moments before the light creeps back in again. You feel powerless against the motion of the Universe and tiny in the spectacle of the sky above.

Enjoy the moment - they pass too quickly. Prepare carefully and let the intensity overwhelm you.

Dark Chocolate, Black Treacle, Walnut. Maybe allow yourself a penumbra of milk, just to make it that little bit easier. Perhaps a bite of Parkin, or a bourbon biscuit to help you appreciate the bittersweet intensity of your coffee.

Then just as soon as it went dark, the light creeps back in again, the room opens up and your moment to yourself has passed.

This coffee is a unique blend of washed and natural process sugarcane decafs, dark roasted to promote intensity, aroma and body.

Our signature dark roast espresso blend is full-bodied, bittersweet and satisfying with tasting notes of Dark Chocolate, Black Treacle and Cinder Toffee.

Perfect with milk and surprisingly satisfying served black.

From the mountains of South America to the hills of the Pennines, Langhūs is a blend of coffees from Colombia and Brasil, carefully roasted to the perfect balance of sweetness and strength at our roastery on the edge of the Peak District in West Yorkshire.

It won 2 stars at this year’s Great Taste Awards, putting it in the top 10% of all the food products entered.

First created as an espresso blend to use in our shop in Thongsbridge (Danelaw Coffee Shop, Thongsbridge) it is blended to be sweet enough to savour as an espresso and strong enough to stand up to steamed milk too.
