👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Mums and dads, nans and grandads, friends, families, allies and members of our LGBTQ+ community. Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday and made it such a brilliant day.

🎶 There was music, live performances, drinking, dancing, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, a whole lot of love.

🏳️‍🌈 Seeing so many different generations celebrating together is exactly what Holmes Chapel Pride is all about.

💷 Something you might not know is that putting the event on costs around £3,500, and it relies entirely on donations.

🚧 Even closing the road costs a couple of thousand pounds before you add permits, security and everything else needed to make the day happen safely.

🙏 So, if you came along, had a drink, danced in the street, watched the performances or simply enjoyed seeing our village come together, please consider making a donation, however small.

🌈 Holmes Chapel Pride is this Saturday! 🌈

🏳️‍🌈 As business owners who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, we’ve never been about pushing an agenda.

❤️ For us, it’s actually pretty simple: love who you want to love, be who you want to be, and let others do the same

📊 And while we’ve come a long way, there’s still a reason Pride matters. Police recorded hate crime in the UK based on sexual orientation remains around 20% higher than it was five years ago.

💛 That’s why allies matter too. We’re incredibly lucky to have an army of allies right here in Holmes Chapel, and we saw that first hand last year especially.

🙏🏻 To everyone who came out, supported Pride and stood alongside the LGBTQ+ community, thank you. It genuinely meant a lot.

💃 This Saturday, the HC Pride 2026 Street Party takes over The Square / London Road from 3pm to 7pm.

🚨 WE’RE HIRING A FULL TIME ASSISTANT MANAGER 🫡

🍰 We’re a busy cafe, dessert bar and licensed bar, so we need someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, thinks quickly on their feet and isn’t afraid to get stuck in wherever they’re needed.

☕️ You must already be an experienced and confident barista, able to produce consistently great coffee at pace. This is a hands on management role where you’ll lead from the front, working alongside the team rather than standing on the sidelines.

You’ll be responsible for:

🙌 Leading busy shifts and keeping the team focused and organised
☕ Producing quality coffees and hot drinks quickly and consistently
🥤 Supporting service across our milkshakes, frappes and cold drinks
🍸 Helping to deliver our bar and cocktail offering

🎓 Training, coaching and supporting team members
📋 Helping to plan each shift and deploy the team effectively
🔑 Opening and closing the business, including cashing up

We’re looking for someone who is:

✨ Already an experienced and capable barista
✨ Experienced in supervising or leading a hospitality team
✨ Quick on their feet and able to spot what needs doing
✨ Calm, confident and decisive under pressure
✨ Friendly, approachable and brilliant with customers
✨ Organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility
✨ Proactive, hardworking and willing to help across the whole business
✨ Passionate about maintaining high standards

🙏🏻 Bar or cocktail experience would be a strong advantage.

🍳 Kitchen experience isn’t essential because full training will be provided. However, you’ll need a genuine interest in food, a natural flair for presentation and the confidence to learn quickly.

Please only apply if you already have solid barista experience and are comfortable working at pace in a busy hospitality environment. You will be working with another Assistant Manager and Owner + the wider team.
