CHEF TAKEOVER, take two! 🦞

We're thrilled to welcome Fran Hartshorne, Executive Head Chef at The White Horse in Brancaster, to Hermitage Rd. on 29th October.

Fran has spent 20 years at the award-winning Norfolk coastal favourite, and was named Unsung Hero of the Year at the Suffolk & Norfolk Tourism Awards 2025. She's bringing us local, seasonal Norfolk dishes with plenty of seafood. The White Horse hosts sell-out seafood events every year, so having Fran with us is a big one!

CHEF TAKEOVER 🧑‍🍳 Thank you Nikhil

Last night was one for the books. Chef Nikhil brought his Farzi London Indian fusion menu to Hermitage Road, and over one hundred of you joined us for our first ever chef takeover in Hitchin. The food was incredible, the room was buzzing, and honestly, what a way to kick things off.

This is only the beginning. We’re already planning next month’s Hitchin restaurant takeover, and we want you there. Comment “takeover” below and we’ll pop you on the waitlist so you’re first to know when it drops.

This time, we’re bringing together two things that were made for each other.

Join our Sommelier, Yana, for an evening exploring five w**es from around the world, each carefully paired with a selection of cheeses.

Autumn at the Herm is shaping up nicely 🍂🍷

Long lazy lunches, steaks cooked exactly how you like them, and Yana's brand new w**e list to get stuck into. Cocktails and catch ups never looked so good.

Behind the scenes we've got loads of menu development happening too. New seasonal lunch and dinner menus are in the works, plus a brilliant new cocktail menu that Yana and Nik have been pouring their hearts into (pun intended).

And don't forget our monthly jazz nights are back, this month landing on Wednesday 30th September. And for our Guest Chef Series, we're already lining up our next guest chef for anyone who can't make it. But if you're still hoping to bag a spot on our Farzi collaboration with Chef Nikhil, don't wait, it's almost full!

The menu has landed 👀

The menu for our first Chef Takeover with Farzi London and Chef Nikhil Mahale is officially live, and it’s safe to say we’re looking forward to this one.

Expect Dal-Chawal Arancini with pickled mayo and chutney, charcoal grilled Murg Malai Kebab drizzled with spiced cheese fondue, Punjabi Lamb Rara, Cod Tava Masala and plenty more around the table.

Then there’s the Mango Rasmalai Tiramisu to finish. We’ve definitely got our eye on that one. 👌
