TWO FOLD are joining us for a night of live acoustic music, playing classic tunes and plenty of familiar favourites.

Whether you're meeting up with friends, catching up with neighbours or just fancy getting out for the evening, come along and enjoy some great music and good company.

SOMETHING IS HAPPENING EVERY WEEK AT YOUR VILLAGE CLUB!

Hindhead RBL isn’t just somewhere to visit for our big events. Throughout the week, the club is home to a range of regular community activities, a chance to get active, try something different, meet people and enjoy some good company.

Here’s what’s happening every week:
MONDAY — Line Dancing. From 7.30pm.
Learn the steps, keep active and have some fun. All abilities welcome.
TUESDAY — Art Club from 10.30am–12.30pm.
A relaxed and friendly group where you can create, chat and enjoy the company of other local artists.
WEDNESDAY — Slimming World. From 4pm.
Support, motivation and a friendly welcome each week.
WEDNESDAY — Bingo. From 7.30pm.
A proper social night at the club — bingo, prizes, a few laughs and plenty of friendly faces.
THURSDAY — Line Dancing. From 7.30pm.
Another chance to get on the dance floor, learn some steps and meet new people.

WHAT’S ON THIS OCTOBER AT HINDHEAD RBL!

What a fantastic start to the month!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Adele vs Amy Tribute Night the club was packed and the atmosphere was brilliant!

And Saturday’s Skittles Night was another fantastic evening of fun, laughter and friendly competition. It really was a knockout!

But October isn’t over yet! We’ve still got three great events coming up:

FRIDAY 16 OCTOBER — TWO FOLD. Live acoustic music from 8pm. FREE ENTRY!

FRIDAY 23 OCTOBER — QUIZ NIGHT. Get your team together for our popular monthly quiz!

FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER — HALLOWEEN MUSIC BINGO. Great tunes, prizes and spooky fun. Fancy dress welcome!

FIVE NEWSLETTERS. ONE STORY. OUR CLUB.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been telling the story of Hindhead Royal British Legion Club: where we’ve come from, what happens here today and what we want to protect for the future.

It’s a story that stretches back more than a century, beginning with the Village Club and generations of local people who understood the importance of having somewhere to come together.

Today, that continues.

It’s bowls, croquet, snooker, pool and darts. It’s quizzes, Music Bingo, live music, panto and the B**r Festival. It’s watching the big sporting moments together. It’s community groups, celebrations, meetings and events.

And it’s also a building that needs looking after. We’ve invested in solar panels, a new boiler and improvements to make the Club more efficient, while continuing to plan for the work this wonderful old building will need in the years ahead.

But ultimately, the Club isn’t the building. It’s the people. The members. The volunteers. The people who organise things. The people who turn up. The people who bring a friend through the door for the first time.

That’s why membership matters.
You don’t have to come every week. You don’t have to play a sport or join every event. Simply being a member helps keep a place like this here for the community.

Membership for 2026/27 is £25 for the year.

WHAT A YEAR AND THERE’S MORE TO COME!

From the B**r Festival and panto to quizzes, live music, live sport and some brilliant community events, there have been plenty of reasons to come through the doors of the Club this year.

But none of it happens simply because there’s a building here.

It happens because people use it. People volunteer. People organise things. People turn up. And people support the Club.

So, a big thank you to our members, volunteers, staff and everyone who has joined us during the year.

And we’re not finished. There’s plenty more we want to do, more events to enjoy and more ways to make the Club an even better place for Hindhead and Beacon Hill.

If you’re already a member, we’d love you to renew for 2026/27.

If you used to be a member, perhaps it’s time to come back.

And if you’ve never joined before, come and see what’s here.

WHY DO WE WEAR A POPPY?

Every autumn, millions of people across the country wear a red poppy. But what does it really represent?

The poppy is a symbol of Remembrance. It honours those who lost their lives in service and recognises the courage and sacrifice of generations of Armed Forces personnel.

The tradition goes back to 1921, when the newly formed British Legion adopted the poppy as a symbol of Remembrance.

More than a century later, that little red flower still carries a powerful message.

We remember. We care. We haven't forgotten.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing the story of the Poppy Appeal, what it supports and the local people who help make it happen here in Hindhead.

HALLOWEEN MUSIC BINGO IS COMING TO HINDHEAD RBL!

Forget numbers; this is bingo with a soundtrack!

Listen to the songs, match them to your card and see if you can shout BINGO! before everyone else. We’ll be mixing Halloween favourites with music from across the decades, so there should be plenty you recognise.

OUR QUIZ NIGHT IS BACK THIS MONTH!!

After an amazing return of our Quiz Night back at Hindhead RBL Club in September, and a full house of quizzers and quiz teams, we’re very excited to announce that the next one is already in the diary!

QUIZ NIGHT – FRIDAY 23RD OCTOBER. From 7.30pm.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made September’s quiz such a great night. It was brilliant to see the Club packed with people enjoying a bit of friendly competition and, most importantly, a good night together.
So… same again next month?

Get your team together, brush up on your general knowledge and join us on Friday 23rd October.
