Maybe you had an occasion when the laughter flowed while you were visiting with friends. Or, maybe, you had a deeply spiritual encounter that had a profound effect on you.
Whatever your recollection, we'd love it if you share it with us.
We are continuing to celebrate our 25th birthday and, as part of this celebration, we'd love to be able to reproduce some of the recollections of our wonderful customers and volunteers - spanning a quarter of a century - in the next edition of grapevine, our digital newsletter.

FOR MANY OF US, the events of 2001 are a distant memory. For Christians in Hinckley, it is was a time of real hope, culminating that September in the opening of The Vine Christian Bookshop.

The year is slipping by and if garden centres can start to stock their Christmas gifts and paraphanalia, then it's time for us to remind you to think of The Vine when you are looking to buy a Bible or a Christian book as a Christmas present for a friend or loved one.
We can often beat the likes of Amazon on price, and we turn around an order usually within 3-5 working days. So, please give us the opportunity to cater for your needs at this special time. And, if books don't float your boat, please remember that we have an extensive selection of festive cards on sale, with appropriate faith messages contained within, as well as a wide range of popular crafts that also make ideal gifts.
On top of all this, our welcoming cafe is well placed to serve you a hot drink (apparently our hot chocolate is regarded as one of the best in Hinckley) should you wish to take a bit of time to make your mind up.

For 25 years, hundreds of volunteers have made The Vine a place where a warm welcome awaits everyone who visits our bookshop and cafe. We now need to recruit more people to help serve our customers, take book orders and cook food.
If you have 2-3 hours to spare, and you'd like to devote time to a Christian cause that means a lot to so many, then please get in touch via DM or by visiting us between 10.30am and 2.30pm most weekdays. We'd love to hear from you.

Celebrating being 25 years young...
A wonderful afternoon of celebration and reminiscing took place this afternoon at The Vine's Hinckley home in The Borough. Laughter and animated conversation took place for more than two hours when current and former customers, volunteers and staff were joined by local politicians - including County Councillor, Michael Mullaney, current Hinckley Mayor, Cathie Gibbens (main picture), and former mayor, Scott Gibbens.
Thank you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon so memorable. We are relishing the opportunity of serving the community of the town and wider area for at least another 25 years.

Some exciting news! We are very grateful to have received a grant from The Booksellers Association following a successful application process 🎉

The funding has been used to add improvements to our outdoor spaces; beautiful plants and seating sourced from local garden centres. Lovely to sit, unwind and lose yourself in one of our great books – with tea and cake of course! 📚🪑🪴🌼
