Join us this half term for an afternoon of fun, decorating your very own spook inspired cupcakes!

Our 2 hour workshop is the perfect activity for your littles over the school holidays.

You will learn how to:

▪️Add a flat buttercream top
▪️Make a decorative icing disk
▪️Make cute Halloween themed decorations to top your cupcakes..

Think the cutest wee ghost, pumpkin and other friends. Swipe for example pic…

You will take home your creations a beautiful box, ready to take share with your loved ones!

You will also take home:

▪️cupcake recipe
▪️buttercream recipe

We try to do our making with normal kitchen utensils as much as possible, so you can have hours of fun recreating your designs again and again at home.

Well, that was a day. 🙈

Today was officially the quietest day in Bridge Books’ 31 years. And while I’m absolutely not going to pretend that’s ideal, I do understand that good weather, holidays and a fast approaching of back-to-school time can play havoc with book shopping.

So, rather than sit here dramatically staring out the window at the kebab shop, I’ve been putting my time to good use and adding LOTS of books being published over the next few months to the website.

And because pre-orders really, really matter to a little independent bookshop like mine, they’re all 20% off.
Every pre-order helps me plan what to order in/not order in.

And if you don’t fancy pre-ordering anything, simply sharing this post helps enormously, too. You never know who might see it and think, “Ooh, I’ve been meaning to read that…”

So, no doom and gloom. Just one very, very quiet day, a shop full of books and an indie bookseller hoping for a slightly busier tomorrow.
