📢 A LITTLE REMINDER — WE ARE CLOSED FOR ONE WEEK! 📢

A couple of our lovely staff members have mentioned that some people are still unaware that we are closing for ONE WEEK next week! 😬

We’ve had signs up in the shops since July, but as we’re clearly not very good at the whole social media thing 🤦‍♀️, we completely forgot to put it on here!

So, just to make it nice and clear:

📅 MONDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER – SATURDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER
🚫 CLOSED IN BOTH BURNHAM & HIGHBRIDGE

Don’t worry, we’re not disappearing! We’re using the week to give the bakery some much-needed TLC. ❤️

🔧 Routine maintenance on our machinery
🎨 Painting
🧽 A LOT of cleaning
🔥 Cleaning the ovens — which is ridiculously difficult when they barely get 12 hours off to actually cool down!
🛠️ General maintenance to make sure everything is working as it should

And, most importantly, we’re giving our staff some much-deserved time off. They work incredibly hard, and they deserve a proper break too! ❤️

WE ARE OPEN TOMORROW — SATURDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER:
📍 Highbridge — until 12:30pm
📍 Burnham — until 2:00pm

And we’re also very excited to be working with BosFest and catering in Manor Gardens on Sunday, so we won’t be completely out of action! 🎉

We’ll be back to normal from Monday 14th September, hopefully with shiny ovens, freshly painted bits, machinery that behaves itself and slightly less exhausted staff! 😂

As always, thank you for your continued support and custom. We genuinely appreciate every single person who chooses to support our little independent business. ❤️

Now… if you know someone who will inevitably turn up next week asking where we are, please tag them below! 😂👇

Our Mediterranean loaves are still going strong this summer 😋

A mix of dried herbs, peppers and olives- the smell from these when they are being baked is amazing.

Great for homemade garlic bread or dipping in your oils/sauces with a charcuterie board🤤

We’re incredibly flattered to have been nominated once again for the England’s Business Awards. 💙

However, we’ve decided not to enter this year.

After looking into it previously, we found it’s not quite what we expected. While it’s lovely to receive the nomination, businesses then have to pay an entry fee (which can be up to £200), and tickets for the awards evening are also paid for. From our experience, attendance forms part of the overall process too, so it’s not simply a case of being voted for by customers.

Don’t get us wrong – it’s wonderful to be recognised, and we’re genuinely grateful to everyone who thought of us. But we’d rather spend that money investing back into the bakery than chasing a trophy.

The truth is, we already feel like winners.

We have amazing customers in both shops who continue to support us week after week. Some of you have been with us for years, and many of you have become friends. Our little social media community keeps growing (even if I don’t always remember to post! 🫣😂), and despite the tough times so many businesses are facing, Maisey’s continues to grow because of your support.

No certificate could mean more than that.

So, thank you for every visit, every order, every recommendation, every like, comment and share. You keep our ovens on, our staff busy, and our family business going strong.

To us… we’ve already won. 💙
