We are proud to be an official venue for Chatty Cafe! The Chatty Café Scheme is a UK-wide initiative that supports people to connect through simple, everyday conversations. We work with cafés and community venues to create welcoming spaces where people know they can sit and have a chat, helping to reduce loneliness and bring communities together. Our most well-known feature is the Chatty Table, a designated table where chatting with others is encouraged. 💛💛💛
This is a long post - but lots of information in about FAQ!
We have been absolutely blow away by social media over the last few weeks. I am trying to reply to everyone and I'm really sorry if I have missed anyone. There is only me on socials so it's been a busy few weeks keeping up! But not complaining as it's brilliant how many people are so positive and interested in the Chatty Cafe scheme. I've put together below some information which hopefully covers a lot of the questions we are getting. Hope this helps!

How to find a local Chatty Cafe table
To find a chatty café table near you, start by searching for the group online and typing in your postcode. As you type, make sure to click on the suggested town name that pops up rather than just pressing enter—this helps the system accurately match you with groups in your local area. Choosing the suggested location ensures you’ll see nearby chatty tables and won’t miss out on meetups happening close to home. We have groups all around the UK, but sadly some areas don’t have them. If you are struggling with this function please DM or email me and I will look further into this for you.

Volunteering with the Chatty Café Scheme
Volunteering with us is flexible and rewarding. Volunteers help by spreading the word locally, supporting venues that have signed up, and sometimes simply being present to welcome and chat with people. There’s no minimum time commitment – you can get involved in a way that suits you. Full guidance and support are provided, and many volunteers enjoy being a friendly, familiar face in their community.

No venue in your area yet?
If there isn’t a Chatty Café venue near you, you can help by approaching local places such as cafés, pubs, libraries, community centres, or care homes. Let them know about the Chatty Café Scheme, how simple it is to take part, and the positive impact it can have. Once they’re signed up, you could even volunteer there yourself and help bring the Chatty Table to life.
