A Heartfelt Farewell
With a very heavy heart, I say farewell to my incredible team and the wonderful Three Roofs Café. Today marks the start of a new chapter for the café, and while it’s bittersweet, I know it’s in the safest of hands.
For the past nine years, I have had the absolute privilege of owning and running Three Roofs Café, and I have loved every single moment. Through the ups and downs, we have faced challenges like all businesses, ( I’m definitely not mentioning the C word!) but we bounced back, stronger than ever—thanks to our loyal customers our brilliant staff and this beautiful village that I am lucky to call ‘home’.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the amazing team who make this café what it is. This year, they have achieved something truly remarkable—delivering the highest ever turnover in the café’s 60-year history. Their dedication, hard work, and passion for both the café and Castleton are inspiring, and I know they will continue to provide the same warm welcome and high standards that you have all come to love. Every team member is staying on, so there will be no interruption to the fantastic service and quality you expect.
We have become a close nit work family over the years and I’m going to miss every single one very much ❤️
To our wonderful customers—past and present—I cannot thank you enough for your support, kind words, wonderful reviews ( and some that have set the record straight!!) and loyalty over the years. My apologies to those who I’ve not been able to say a personal goodbye but it has been an absolute pleasure serving you, and I hope you continue to enjoy everything Three Roofs Café has to offer.
Although my circumstances have changed and I need to spend more time with my family, I will still be in the area and will never be a stranger. Castleton will always hold a special place in my heart, and Three Roofs Café will forever be a shining diamond in that place.
I wish the team and the café every success for the future, and I hope to see you all again soon—but this time, from the other side of the counter!
