Well that’s it Weirmarsh Farm Restaurant closed its door for the last time last night, not the retirement celebration we were hoping for but times are difficult for everyone at the moment.
We would like to thank everyone who has visited us over the 19 years and for our many regular customers including lots of groups and societies, we will miss you all.
The restaurant would not have been the success it was without our wonderful staff, how lucky we have been with lots of family members making great waiters and washer uppers and local young people joining our small team with great enthusiasm.
We wish to also thank our suppliers many of which we have used from the beginning, Edds ,MC Kelly, Robert Withecombe,Philip Dennis and Castang Wine.
Personally I would like to thank two very important staff members who have supported me in the kitchen, my 88 year old mum who makes the best brandy snaps, my special god daughter Lisa Pidner who preps the veg and makes the best lemon sorbet.
Well that’s it, all over, stay safe in this trying times, we started the restaurant in 2001 when the foot and mouth nearly closed us down and we have finished with the corona virus which did close us down a week too early.

Pete and I have decided to stay open for the customers who are happy to come, as we only have one more week left, last night we had some lovely regular customers who have supported us through the years, thank you .

We are now on the final two weeks of Weirmarsh Farm Restaurant, cannot say thank you enough for the kind cards/flowers we have received from our wonderful customers as they share their last meal with us.

Nineteen years ago today Weirmarsh opened! It has been wonderful to have so many loyal customers and to have been able to host so many special occasions, we are now on our final weeks before we retire the end of March .
Thank you for all your support.
This was our first introduction to the restaurant in the North Devon Journal, how old the photo looks .

Sad news !!!! Peter and I have decided to retire after 19 years, Weirmarsh will close the last weekend in March 2020.
Not an easy decision, we have gained a lot of loyal customers over the years and have been honoured to host amazing weddings and special events, thank you for making Weirmarsh the success it has become.
If you have any Weirmarsh vouchers, now is the time to get your date in the diary, if you would like to book a table before we close now is also the time to get your date in the diary. Thank you again for all your support ❤️

My new son-in-law James Mason is starting a new venture at Blakewell Fisheries, fine dining by an award winning chef, a unique experience in a wonderful setting, give it a try!
