To all our amazing customers over the past 9 years .. it’s with mixed emotions that we tell you we have closed the doors on Giambrone’s and when the shop reopens it will be under new management. We have had the best time whilst in Hertford, having made some great friends and had the pleasure of some wonderful customers during this time. It’s now time however, for our family to venture on to new beginnings .. we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your loyalty and well wishes over this time.

The premises will be reopening again shortly following a refit as a day and evening eatery called “Peach”. We wish our new tenants all the very best and can’t wait to come and enjoy what they have to offer.

A great summer activity provision by one of our lovely regular customers Josh Tilley ... I can highly recommend the camps as our two eldest children attending the May Half Term one and had a great time.

So as from today, April 12th, we will be open every day for takeaway and with some outdoor seating available (let’s hope it warms up soon right)!

Our opening hours are:
Monday to Friday 8am-3.30pm
Saturday 8.30am-4pm
Sunday 9am-2.30pm

We are looking forward to the next phase of the roadmap when we can welcome you all to sit back indoors .. but until then we look forward to seeing you all for your takeaways, usuals and smiles.

Are you an experienced barista? Want to work in the best coffee bar in town?

Following the Government’s road map to ease lockdown, and the plans for the hospitality industry to reopen fully to allow customers to sit indoors, Giambrone's are looking for experienced baristas to come and join their team. Full or Part time. Ideally you will have worked in a similar environment before and possess excellent customer service skills.

Job duties include: taking orders, making coffee, teas and other drinks to customer specifications, operating tills, preparing the shop and stock, cleaning and working to the correct health and hygiene standards and creating the perfect environment for customers to enjoy what Giambrone's has to offer.

You will work as part of a conscientious and hard working team. Salary dependant on age and work experience. Hours are shift work and involve a mixture of early mornings, late afternoon finishes and weekend work.

We are sorry to say that we are are having to close our doors for a few weeks during this current National Lockdown. We have tried to keep going during this time and offer a takeaway only service, but we feel now is the time to take a break and keep our staff and customers safe. We will review the situation with Covid-19 in a few weeks and look to reopen as soon as possible.

Thank you as always for your continued support and custom during this difficult time. Please keep safe and well and we will see you all really soon.

To all our customers, friends and families we would like to say thank you for all your support this year! Without you who knows how things may have turned out .. so from our family to yours may you have a wonderful Christmas wherever you are and whoever you are able to be with! Let’s hope that 2021 is happier and healthier for us all. Keep faith and know that with love and kindness we can conquer all ❤️

Good morning everyone ...

So no it wasn’t a dream, yes we really are in Tier 4 and to be honest some moments we really don’t know what to make of it all.

However, we are still allowed to open for takeaway only and for the foreseeable that is exactly what we will do. So .. if on your daily exercise you happen to pass why not pop in for a takeaway coffee, panini, pastry, cake .. we still have everything available.

We can even take pre orders from our hot food menu so you don’t have to cook ..

As long as we have the support from our customers we will continue to trade for as long as we can.

Don’t forget too that we are still taking hamper orders and we also have gift vouchers available up to any value you like.

Please continue to support local, independent shops like us ... we will carry on facing adversity and come through the other side ... thank you as always ❤️

😥 .. as of Saturday Giambrone’s will be back to offering a takeaway service only, however as we are classed as retail also you can still come and see us for anyone wonderful Italian food gifts, including our beautiful bespoke hampers made by Jo.

What a year it’s been .. but thanks to our amazing customers we are still standing (just)! Please continue to support local if you can - you have no idea how much every purchase in our shop helps.

We will update ASAP with our opening times over the Christmas period.

Remember that all of our menus are available for takeaway .. you can always call ahead to order too.

🚨 Breaking News 🚨

“At 1 minute past midnight on Saturday all of Hertfordshire will move to Tier 3 restrictions”

This means that from Saturday ..

No mixing of households indoors or most public places apart from support bubbles

Rule of 6 in public places like Hartham Park for example

Pubs, Bars and Restaurants to close except for takeaway, drive through or delivery

Indoor entertainment to close

Schools remain open

Retail remains open

Leisure and sports facilities remain open but group exercise classes (including fitness and dance) should not go ahead

Hair and personal care to remain open

Christmas 5 day rules relaxation still remain.
