Today we ventured over to New Hope Animal Rescue for some very over-due volunteering!
I met the gorgeous foxes that we sponsor here at the cafe; and had the pleasure to meet some of the incredible volunteers.
Everyone at new hope works tirelessly, and compassionately to keep every single animal well cared for, and it genuinely warmed my heart to see 🩷 (and gives me faith in humanity! 🤣)
I wanted to share this post, in case some of our followers were unaware of the rescue; and to those who may be able to donate to an amazing cause, I’ve added their details in the last photo 🩷

Today was officially Ellen’s last day at Leaf Lounge Cafe… we wish you all the luck in the world at university Ellen but in my true dramatic nature; I had to make this video and say a few words..
Ellen has been with me since day 0. (Quite literally, I’ve known her since she was a baby), and she has always been my biggest supporter and saw potential in me that gave me the courage to start this adventure in the first place. And for that I’m eternally grateful for her. 🤧
Ellen is known and loved by many of our amazing customers, I know for lots of you she’s been a confidant, comedian, a therapist, and even just a happy face serving you your coffees..
I’ve watched her grow, gain her confidence and make so many friends, her can-do attitude and positive aura will always loom over the cafe in her absence.
Thank you for making me iced lattes when I’m tired, staying late with me to clean grease traps, buying me lucozades when I’m running late in the mornings, and so much more.
The best of luck to you Ellen, go and smash out uni 🍻

We decided to expand the cake range to include bakes that do contain gluten, as opposed to our usual gluten-free only range ☺️
My coeliacs and gluten intolerant people, have no fear! As all of the equipment used is completely separate, and cooked separately from the bakes that DO contain gluten, so you never have to worry ☺️

We use only the best sourdough here at leaf lounge; hand crafted by Emma over at The garden bakery ,AND using freshly milled flour, how bread should be!

An update regarding our opening hours for this bank holiday weekend!
