Good evening everyone. So the fun begins again with a bundle of gorgeous kittens !
I’m starting off with these 3 handsome boys . Charlie , Caleb and Cola . Despite an awful start in life they are doing really well. Charlie and Caleb are a little timid which is understandable and they are totally bonded so we will be looking for a home for them together, Cola is more confident and he would be ok going to a home with another young cat but equally they would be happy to go as a trio ! The boys are around 13 weeks old now and they are chipped and snipped . Unfortunately due to lack of funds they are not vaccinated yet .
All of the kitties come from Misfits rescue charity and like all the other little rescues they are struggling to keep afloat . I’m fostering all 8 until they go to their forever homes .
Whilst I’m providing all food and litter etc for all 8 kitties it would be great if anyone could spare a £1 or £2 to help towards their vaccinations. Donations of food or money can be handed into the cafe shop , we are open Thursday Friday and Saturday from 10 till 3.

Quick update , I’m getting through messages regarding volunteering as quickly as I can so please bear with me . Thank you everyone for offers so far . I will respond to everyone as I’m very grateful and I will need a number of people for different shifts

Due to the number of wonderful people who have offered their help we are no longer able to respond to any further messages at the moment so if you haven’t heard from me it doesn’t mean no it just means not at the moment. Thank you all so much

Volunteers urgently needed for cats/kittens in Herne Bay . Minimum of 3 hours twice weekly . Day time /evenings and weekends . To assist with feeding, cleaning out litter trays and of course cuddles and play time with the cats . Socialising kittens is so important to prepare them for their new homes . All of them will be looking for new homes too when the time is right. Home checks and adoption fees will apply. They will all be neutered/chipped and vaccinated.
We would also be grateful for any cat/kitten food donations . They all love whiskas at the moment.

Could you open your home to a rescue cat or kitten?

We are urgently looking for foster homes for some of the cats and kittens currently in our care.

These are healthy cats and kittens who are:
- Ready for adoption and waiting for their forever families
- Waiting for their vaccinations and neutering before they can begin looking for their new homes.

By fostering, you’ll be giving them a safe, loving environment while freeing up much-needed rescue spaces so we can help more animals in crisis.

As a Misfits Rescue fosterer:
- We cover the cost of all veterinary treatment, vaccinations and neutering.
- You provide their day-to-day care, including food, litter, plenty of love and a safe home.
- We support you every step of the way until your foster cat finds their forever family.

📍 Foster homes must be located in the Sittingbourne or Isle of Sheppey area. This is because our veterinary practice and the volunteers who transport our animals to and from their appointments are based locally, allowing us to ensure every animal receives the care they need without unnecessary delays.

Every foster home that becomes available creates space for another cat or kitten in urgent need of rescue.

Still Waiting for Her Forever Home…

Beautiful Kiki is still searching for the family she’s been waiting for.

We’ve had a few enquiries, but sadly none have led to an adoption. Every day she remains in rescue is another day she’s waiting for someone to choose her.

Kiki is under 1 year old and is ready to start the next chapter of her life. She is:

* Neutered
* Vaccinated
* Microchipped
* Parasite treated

Kiki is an independent young lady who enjoys life at her own pace. She isn’t a cat who wants constant attention from other cats and doesn’t appreciate being pounced on or chased. She would thrive as an only cat, or with another young, calm and laid-back cat who will respect her space.

Her favourite things are curling up in a cosy bed, playing with her toys and, most of all, mealtimes.

Kiki does have mild gingivitis, which is well managed. She will need:

* An indoor-only home
* A biscuit-only diet with dental supplements or appropriate dental care

She really is a lovely girl who just needs someone to understand her personality. Not every cat wants to be the life of the party, Kiki is happiest doing her own thing, then coming to you when she’s ready for affection.

Our rescue is currently at full capacity, and until animals like Kiki find their forever homes, we cannot help the next cats waiting for a safe place to go.
