Today was a sh*tty day for lots of homes and businesses in town with the damage left from last nights flash floods.

We had some damage in our place not nothing compared to some of the other businesses in town. My thoughts go out to you ❤️

For me the floods were a reminder of the reality of climate change.

I have made a little, super simple explanation of how flash floods are linked to climate change. (Really simple.)

The end to a super busy Saturday and my last shift before I start my week off.

I just wanted to say, bloody thank you guys! You have been so supportive since I have been open about my Autism journey and thank you for sharing your experiences and having conversations that need to be had. Amazing!! You guys are amazing xx

Thought I would shed some light on how your Autistic loved one may be feeling after a day of social interactions. (This is me most days.)

They may:

*Start to slur/slow their speech
*Find it harder to hear you
*Be unable to talk
*Have headaches/body aches
*Become Emotional ( feel teary)
*Experience Sensory sensitivities
*Become fatigued
*Feel social paranoia - did I say something wrong? What does that person think of me now?

(There are many more but these are ones I know and experience myself.)

After some rest all will be well. It’s important to learn some techniques to look after ourselves- I’m still learning.

(I know everyone will feel these things after a long day, Autistic or not, the difference is Autistics are more likely to feel the ‘fatigue’ and ‘burn out’ due to navigating every day life, social situations and sensory overloads.)
