This Week's Foraging Courses Across the UK. Here's this month's WFUK Newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/wildfooduk/september-foraging-courses
We're in England, Scotland and Wales again this week, with more Courses across the UK.
It's amazing how resilient Nature is and even after the historic dry conditions of Summer 2026 (and 2025!), most area are seeing green shoots of recovery. Many annual and herbaceous plants are sprouting new leaves - and berries are plumping up nicely. Great for foragers!
Mushrooms are also beginning to emerge thank goodness. Even the mycorrhizal fungi are finally starting to show themselves too. Their host and partner trees and plants have been more adversely afflicted by the effects of the drought. So these fungi, which form symbiotic relationships have had to wait patiently for the trees and plants to recover first. Marlow even found his first Penny Bun in the far South last weekend! :)
