Our autumn/winter takeaway menu has arrived at The Shoes, bringing you all the comfort of proper pub food without having to leave the sofa!

From b**r-battered fish and chips and juicy burgers to hearty chilli, curries, salads and plenty more, there’s something for everyone.

Perfect for those chilly evenings when you fancy a delicious dinner but really don’t fancy cooking!

There’s something special about a proper local pub. 🍺

You can walk through the door on your own, order a pint, find a quiet corner… and before long you’re chatting about the football, the weather, someone’s dog or putting the world to rights with someone you’ve never met before.

We loved reading this recent review from guests who stopped by The Shoes after a walk.

Lovely drinks, friendly staff, a gorgeous b**r garden, a warm welcome for the dog… and then lunch! From our chicken bites with proper chips “just like my nan used to make” to the steak baguette, it sounds like we ticked all the boxes.

From burgers and our mushroom burger to chilli, nuggets, cheesy chips and plenty of desserts, it sounds like the whole family found something they loved!

Good food, generous portions and something for everyone — exactly how a trip to the pub should be.

🏃‍♂️ Good luck to landlord Russell, who’s swapping The Shoes for the streets of Warsaw today! 🇵🇱

He’s taking on the Warsaw Marathon, so we’re wishing him a brilliant run and hoping those legs hold out for all 26.2 miles!

Meanwhile, back at The Shoes, you can take a slightly more relaxed approach to your Sunday and tuck into one of our proper Sunday roasts while he does all the hard work. 😂
