They’ll be back open as usual after their little break, refreshed and ready to welcome you back! ❤️

🌿🐝 MEET THE GREENFLY GARDENER 🐝🌿
*They seek her here,they seek her there,
Those gardeners seek her everywhere!* 🌱

It’s amazing being a greenfly gardener at Castle Green Gardens! 🌸🏵🌺
🌸 I can come and go exactly when I please, do as
much or as little as I like, and nobody expects
me to be there at a particular time.
🏵 I may be elusive, and I might not even be
spotted by anyone! 👀
🌺 But I like to think that people notice the
difference afterwards. 🌿

🏰 WHY CASTLE GREEN?
Castle Green is such an attractive area in Hereford
and none of us want to see the gardens
becoming neglected.
That’s why I was so pleased to meet Monica and join her team of volunteers, to help keep the gardens looking beautiful for everyone to enjoy 💚
🌱 I just go along when I have a spare half hour, a
spare morning… or just feel like it!
🌱 Sometimes, once I get started, that half hour
turns into a whole morning! 😁
🌱 I take the tools I need, my trusty bucket with
the Greenfly Gardeners' logo, and choose an
area to clear or tidy.
🌱 It's very satisfying to looking back afterwards
and see the improvement — even if it’s only a
small patch. ✨

🧤 IT'S EASY TO BE A VOLUNTEER.
You can:
🌿 Work on your own or go along with a friend/s
🌿 Join one of Monica’s periodic “Flash Mob”
gardening sessions
🌿 And you’ll have the encouragement from
like minded volunteers.
🌿 You'll find it very rewarding so do come and
join us!

🍃 Passers-by notice what you are doing
🍃 Stop and express their appreciation
🍃 You feel you are doing your bit for the
community around you

🎉 IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY! 🎉

One whole year of The Pavilion being open! 🥳💚

And what a year it’s been.

After years of planning, fundraising, hard work and a LONG two-year heritage-sensitive refurbishment, we can’t quite believe we’ve now been welcoming people through our doors for a whole year.

We’ve hosted so many wonderful people and community events — from book clubs 📚 and yoga 🧘‍♀️ to baby showers 🍼, workshops, meetings, celebrations and everything in between.

Seeing The Pavilion become a place for people to meet, learn, celebrate, create and simply spend time together has been everything we hoped it would be.

A huge thank you to everyone who has booked a room, attended an event, supported us, volunteered, shared our posts or helped spread the word. It genuinely means so much. ❤️

Here’s to everything we’ve achieved in our first year — and to an even bigger and better year ahead! 🥂

We’re incredibly excited and proud to be hosting part of the Hereford Military History Festival next weekend! 🎖️

Hereford has such a rich and important military history, alongside a strong and proud veterans community, so it feels particularly special to welcome this festival to Castle Green and The Pavilion again for another year.

From Friday 25th to Sunday 27th September, the festival will bring together fascinating talks, stories and events celebrating the people that have helped shaped military history.

We’re delighted that The Pavilion can play a small part in this fantastic weekend and we can’t wait to welcome everyone.
