Whilst the Rotherfield Village fete is taking a break this year, we have the pleasure of hosting a village gathering instead 🍻

Everyone is welcome, no entry fee! We have a live band playing and garden games for everyone to keep entertained 🌞

On Saturday 5th September starting from 5pm, Party in the Pub is happening! Who knows, maybe we can hold something like this every year! 👀🥂

Meet Summer & Crumble 🐾 we always love meeting your four legged friends. This gorgeous little pair popped in to say Hi the other week ☀️

We have some regular pups who always insist on a pit stop here when out on their walks 🐾🐶

Dogs are always welcome here so bring their wagging tails with you next time ❤️

We had the pleasure of welcoming the famous Peter and Helen back to the pub yesterday for the first time in 11 years!

Peter and Helen ran this pub for 18 years before moving away and since we've taken over everyone has said these are the shoes that we have to fill 🍻

It was lovely to finally meet them and show them how things are going 🥂 its clear this pub means a lot to a lot of people 🎉

A little update from us here at the pub 🍻 The Airbnb is now ready and up and running 🎉 Nice double room with en-suite and built in storage space

The TV has been installed to watch the World Cup ⚽️ The games are later this time so evening service will not be disturbed 🍻

The outdoor bar has made some progress so will be up and running ready for Summer! ☀️ We still need a name 👀 We’ve had lots of suggestions but still haven’t found the right one

🍻 VAT’s The Problem. Let’s Make Our Voice Heard.

Pubs are more than businesses. They create jobs, support local suppliers, bring communities together, and play a vital role in keeping our high streets thriving.

But hospitality businesses continue to face mounting challenges, from rising employment costs and food inflation to increasing energy and operational expenses.

That’s why hospitality leaders across the UK have united behind the VAT’s The Problem campaign, calling on Government to reduce hospitality VAT from 20% to 10%.

A lower VAT rate would bring the UK closer to many of our European neighbours and give hospitality businesses the opportunity to invest, grow, and protect jobs.

🐶🐶 FURY FRIENDS

We’ve met a lot of fury friends recently 🐶 and here’s just a few of them 🐾 some new faces and some seasoned regulars who have to pop in and say hi on their walks 🍻

Unfortunately our kitchen is closed this evening to have some work done but we’re still open for drinks and back open as normal tomorrow 💗

We’ve got lots of exciting changes to the menu coming soon 👀

A big happy birthday to Boris for his birthday next week 🎉 and Charlie has since apologised and replaced the basketball he accidentally had too much fun with 🐾🍻

We've had so much support from everyone since we reopened the pub two months ago and its truly appreciated ❤️

We have lots of big plans for this very loved pub and the potential this place has. We're excited for what's to come and share the journey with you all 🍻

Taking over a pub in the current industry climate was never going to be easy but we've been overwhelmed by all the support and cant wait for the future 🎉

A very warm welcome to our newest business owners at The Maltsters Arms, Harrison & Summer. 🍻

Experienced hospitality managers, this passionate couple have taken on their first pub tenancy with Brakspear- and what a fantastic start they’ve made already.

Located in the beautiful village of Rotherfield Greys, Henley-on-Thames, The Maltsters Arms has received wonderful feedback since opening at the beginning of April.

Together with chef Charlie, Harrison & Summer have launched delicious new menus featuring everything from fresh sourdough sandwiches with salad to evening pub classics like fish & chips, steak frites, and of course, a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings. 🍽️

The pub welcomes the whole family, including four-legged friends, and even has a sports area at the end of the garden for children to enjoy.

We’re excited to watch Harrison & Summer thrive in their new venture. If you’re in the area, be sure to pop in and show your support.

Its going to be a very sunny bank holiday weekend 🎉 We're open all this weekend including Monday so its the perfect time to pop in and join us for a pint if you haven't already since the pub has reopened 🍻🥂

Sunday will be our third weekend serving roasts and its already looking like a busy one 😋
