The view we woke up to this morning was crying out for coffee and cake as the sun slowly burned through the quarry full of fog. It's a lot less misty now, but this place is just beautiful come rain or shine.

We’re looking for a Weekend Brunch Cook to join us at Trevassack Lake Cafe.

This is a permanent part-time role with 20 guaranteed hours across Friday to Sunday, mainly daytime, at £14.75 per hour.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and delivering our agreed brunch menu, handling prep and service, managing stock and ordering, and helping keep the kitchen running safely and smoothly.

We’re looking for someone with solid professional kitchen experience who is organised, dependable, confident working independently and takes real pride in serving great food.

Our lovely Monique first came to the lake to discover accessible watersports opportunities - and ended up with a cafe job! She has just finished a catering course at Aurora Foxes college and is putting her new skills to good use for the benefit of our little charity cafe 🥰

Foxes Graduate, Monique, is thriving in her new role. 🥳

We love hearing how Graduates are thriving in their life post Foxes 🦊, so we were very excited to get the following message updating us on 2026 Graduate, Monique:

Monique has been doing 2 morning shifts a week at Trevassack Lake Cafe .

She is really enjoying it and the staff are very supportive. She has learnt to take food orders on the till and use the card machine. Today she was delighted to learn how to put a rose on a cappuccino coffee.

We are all delighted, it is so good for her confidence and self esteem. She is putting all those skills from Foxes into practice and feels part of the team already.
