Penny's Pies - We are looking for a baker/cook. Real passion for good food is essential. We make savoury pastry goods (particularly pies) and cakes in our unit in Helston. I am looking for someone full or part time which will include working some weekends. Penny’s Pies
We are Hiring

We are looking for people who have bakery and pastry skills and have at least some experience in a commercial bakery. We make Pies, Pasties, Sausage Rolls, Scotch Eggs and other savoury goods as well as cakes for our little Cafe. We are primarily baking for the retail trade and our cafe, two weekly farmers markets, larger events such as Royal Cornwall Show, Food Festivals and Christmas events.

We have full and part time positions available start 5.00am or 7.00am finish at 1.00 or 3.00pm with the occasional Saturday on a rota basis. Customer service skills and willingness to help colleagues are essential qualities. This is a physically demanding role at times especially when leading up to a show or event.

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that went to Stithians Show yesterday and bought pies etc from us. I’m sorry there was such a queue - I promise we were working as hard as we could. You are all so amazing and the support you all give me and my wonderful team at the unit is really uplifting. Thank you - see you next year if not before. 💖💖

What a difference a few days makes huh?

It’s a little damp and wet down in Sennen but we set up with the good folk this morning ready to field your Tuesday.

We’re also open at Maytree Court in Helston with all the stock available, and shelter available from this awfully wet rain we’ve got here.
