Cutiest packaging ever!

Reminds me of Blockbuster on a Friday night, post-swimming, pre-sleepover. Add GoldenEye on the N64 and it’s probably the pinnacle of human existence.

Can be enjoyed with a friend or alone, but it’s always enjoyable.

Looking back over the year, we realised just how many amazing guest espressos we’ve had through the bar.

We’ve had coffees from Carter, Parallel, La Cabra, Native, Taith, ALL CAPS, Dark Matter, Mirra, DAK, TARABA, SL.OW and Assembly.

Poor Dan's had to write them all on the board. I hate that job for some reason.

It’s a real privilege getting to serve coffees of this quality to our regulars, and to keep introducing something a little different alongside our house espresso.

Currently we’re serving Finca Gascón Natural from super sweet, loads of raspberry, a little boozy richness and a really smooth finish.

Plenty more still to come.

Not sure what to call him? Maybe PeeBee (since Phoebe is taken) our slightly exhausted but reliably caffeinated Linea PB.

Often seen wearing Crocs, spilling drinks, talking nonsense and quietly keeping Overflow together.

One of the things I’m most excited about at Overflow is our retail coffee. Every time a new box arrives, it’s like Christmas. Not the Christmas when I got a TIE fighter instead of an X-wing, that was traumatic. It’s all water under the bridge now, though. I’m back talking to my parents again.

We’ve had coffee roasted all over the globe, from North and South America, to the Nordic countries, from Eastern Europe to Spain and everywhere in between. And soon, even New Zealand. As well as plenty from our own shores, of course!

Basically, I’m saying that we love coffee. And I really love feeling part of this incredible global network, from pickers and producers to importers and roasters, all the way through to the people drinking it here in Helensburgh.

We got some new chairs.

Some people choose one chair and buy twelve of it.

I chose instead to enter a long, emotional, completely unnecessary relationship with several different chairs… and then not decide.

So now we have some more red ones, blue ones, orange ones, chrome ones, mesh ones, plastic ones.

Come sit down and tell me which one was the correct decision.

Back in April, we drew back the curtain on what happens behind the bar and let you lot loose on the machine.
