Eastbourne is set to rally behind a cause close to many hearts this May, as a group of local women host a vibrant Ladies Padel Fundraiser at The Saffrons — combining sport, community spirit, and a powerful mission to give back.

Eastbourne is set to rally behind a cause close to many hearts this May, as a group of local ladieshost a vibrant Ladies Padel Fundraiser at The Saffrons, combining sport, community spirit, and a powerful mission to give back.

Taking place on Saturday 30th May from 2pm–5pm at Padel4all, the event promises an afternoon of energy, laughter, and meaningful fundraising in support of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

Organised by four local ladies brought together through both a love of padel and personal experiences of loss, the event is rooted in gratitude.

“St Wilfrid’s was there for our families when we needed them most,” one organiser shared. “This is our way of giving something back — and bringing the community together while we do it.”

While the centrepiece is a ladies Padel tournament, the event has been designed to welcome everyone — whether you’ve never picked up a racket or you’re a regular on court.

Visitors can enjoy:
Padel taster sessions
Table tennis lessons

Golf simulator experiences with the brand-new SwingZone simulator, open throughout the event for taster sessions in exchange for a donation

A preloved sports clothing rail
Raffles and prize draws

Twinn Coffee at The Saffrons will be offering a special coffee and cake deal, with £1 from every purchase donated directly to the hospice.

Tickets for the raffle will be available both in person and online, giving supporters multiple ways to get involved...and multiple chances to win.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides vital care and support to local families facing life-limiting illness — a service that touches countless lives across the town.

A new stretch tent is being erected to form Saffrons Yard - a covered outdoor hospitality space between Gun Brewery - The Saffrons and Twinn. And bringing it all together, we're about to have a new customised food trailer arrive ready to serve an exciting, changing weekly menu.

With the extension of the terrace overlooking the cricket pitch, it's all happening ...
