Today marks the final service at Cafe Elvira. We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported both Jeremy's Restaurant and Cafe Elvira over the years. It has been a pleasure and an honour to serve the local community. On to pastures new!

Our final farewell...
For those of you who have followed us with interest and affection for the many years we have enjoyed providing hospitality in mid-Sussex, now it really is time to hang up our aprons and begin to enjoy a good, and simple lifestyle. Whether it is savouring those long cherished barbequed sardines on sandy shores, here or abroad, or the chance to indulge in a number of other pleasures we have held back from doing for a long time.

So, it really is happening this time. After our long and fruitful time here in the beautiful surroundings of Borde Hill Gardens, we vacate on March 31st, last lunchtime service at Café Elvira on Thursday 31 March 2022. We trust that it won't be too long before a worthy successor is found to carry on the legacy of quality hospitality that we have always sought to provide.

It will be a huge wrench for Vera, me and the team to bid farewell to all the wonderful customers and friends that we have developed such special relationships with over the years. With summer ahead, one of the hardest farewells will be to the wonderful south facing terrace and walled garden which first seduced us many years ago, and more recently the centre of happy times enjoying weddings, jazz BBQS and other events.

It's now time for us to reflect and think to the future, a future accompanied by so many happy shared times here. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the Ukrainian people and the terrible price they are paying to uphold the values we all hold dear.

In the short-term, we look forward to our travels and whilst I most probably will descend into contented slothdom, please email me if you would like me to keep in touch with our news from time to time.
