Our tea cakes are made by hand, gently proved, and baked daily — soft, warm, and best enjoyed simply with a good cup of tea.

Come early to catch them at their finest… they don’t hang around for long.

Hay Castle Café reopens tomorrow (Saturday) at 10am following a week of essential maintenance. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you back into our café.

Our winter menu features main dishes including steaks, maple roast squash, Ragstone & caramelised onion tart, alongside our toasties and a selection of cakes, all baked in-house in the Castle kitchen.

Brunch is served from 10–11:30. Lunch from 12-3.
