𝗔 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝘄𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 📖✨

Every now and then, something arrives at Sawrey House that makes you stop and smile…

A couple of our recent guests brought a wonderful brochure with them — dating all the way back to 1977! 🥰

Nearly 50 years old, and a little glimpse into what Sawrey House was like all those years ago.

The photographs, the wording, the rooms… even the little details that have long since changed.

But one thing hasn’t changed…

Sawrey House is still welcoming guests to Near Sawrey and giving people the chance to slow down and enjoy a little piece of the Lake District. ❤️

We absolutely love discovering little pieces of the house’s past, so we thought we’d share these with you too.

Swipe through the photos and take a little trip back to 1977…

And if anyone remembers staying at Sawrey House around this time, we’d love to hear from you! 🥰

Sometimes the best afternoons are the ones with absolutely nowhere else to be.

A table filled with freshly made sandwiches, warm scones with jam and cream, tempting little sweet treats… and a pot of something lovely to drink. 🍰

Add beautiful Lake District views, good company and a little time to simply sit and enjoy it all.

Whether you’re catching up with someone special, celebrating a little occasion or just fancy treating yourself…

You know the feeling…
You order a “sharing” board…
and spend the whole time quietly protecting your favourite bits.

Well, not anymore.

We now offer a Charcuterie Board for One —
so you can enjoy every slice, every bite…
without having to negotiate.

No sharing.
No compromises.
Just your board, your way.
Because sometimes…
it’s better not to share.

Some places don’t just host weddings… they hold stories.

We’re looking for a self-employed wedding planner or coordinator to build something special with us here in the Lake District.

Not a job.
A partnership.

Someone who wants to grow their own wedding business, with Sawrey House as their home venue.

A place to bring couples' wedding dreams to life.
A base to build your reputation.
A setting that does half the selling for you — just by being itself.

We’re open to someone who:
• Has wedding planning or venue coordination experience
• Is already in the industry — or ready to step into independence
• Wants freedom, but also a beautiful, trusted base to work from
• Cares deeply about detail, feeling, and unforgettable days

What’s on offer:
• A stunning boutique hotel in the Lake District as your wedding home
• Freedom to run your own self-employed business
• The chance to grow your own brand while working with ours
• Supportive collaboration, not corporate control
• A space where weddings feel personal, not processed

This is for someone who doesn’t want “just another venue.”
It’s for someone who wants a place couples remember forever and a business they can truly call their own.
If this feels like you - or someone you know - let’s talk.
