Then somebody had an idea.

A modest string.
A level of convenience that some considered deeply suspicious.

🎩 Mr. Whitmore’s Observations on Consistency

In fifteen years, governments have changed.

Currencies have wobbled.

Fashion has made several regrettable decisions.

Yet some things have remained remarkably constant.

The same chef.

The same waiter.

And, rather pleasingly, a long succession of Food Hygiene inspections resulting in a rating of 5.

We recently received this rather handsome window display, recording what has become a recurring theme.

Not excellence on one occasion.

Not excellence on most occasions.

But excellence on every publicly recorded occasion.

Mr. Whitmore considers this deeply reassuring.

Particularly if one intends to eat here.
