We are excited to announce the sale of Echo Beach Coffee, the popular licensed coffee shop located in the heart of the vibrant Hastings Old Town. This charming seafront establishment, known for its "barista coffees, speciality teas," and much more, has officially been acquired by its new owner, Chris Sullivan.

The business occupies a prime location in a thriving tourist hotspot, enjoying views of the seafront and the unique "bohemian" atmosphere of the area. Beyond its reputation for quality beverages and light bites like paninis and pastries, the premises features a large commercial kitchen and flexible accommodation across three floors.
Business at a Glance:

Location: Prime seafront position in Hastings Old Town.
Offerings: Barista coffee, wines, spirits, beers, and a full breakfast and lunch menu.
Premises: Includes a ground-floor coffee shop, additional first-floor seating, and a second-floor residential area with a bedroom and meeting room.

💔 We have sadly admitted a lactating vixen into care today, found in the Aldi - Ore carpark. She succumbed to her injuries soon after admission.
She is likely to have cubs in the area. If you see or hear cubs that look lost, crying out, or have been seen for a long period without an adult, please contact us for advice by phone or messenger.

🦊Unless it is an unsafe area to leave them, please do not pick up or move fox cubs without seeking advice first. In many situations, a parent is nearby watching, or they may be moving cubs from one area to another. Each case must be reviewed as we do not want to take cubs away from their family whenever possible.

RESCUE. Rehab. Release.

The taming of………
Well, that’s what the cat who found this little dear said he was doing!
Shrews are not normally eaten by cats as they produce a foul smelling secretion but, unfortunately, that doesn’t stop them killing them.
This one was saved by the finder and is now in the care of RSPCA Mallydams who always go the extra mile for every animal, no matter what their size.
Could you help save a little soul like this?
Even if you are only occasionally available, every rescue is a life altered.

It’s been a very long, stressful and emotional week. After months of chasing solicitors, they all finally sorted out the paperwork for the sale of Echo Beach Coffee.
Having taken months to sort out we exchanged and completed on Friday!

I have a bag of mixed emotions on selling up. I will miss all our regular customers and all the friends I’ve made over the years, especially the furry ones. There are a great many dogs that have visited the cafe and become regulars that I will miss greatly, I love them all.
On the other hand I am looking forward to some well earned rest and relaxation, and spending some quality time with my cats.

I’d like to thank all my friends, family, regular customers and those not so regular for all your support and business and hope you will continue to use the cafe. The new owner is closing for a few weeks and will open under a new name “Sullys”.

I will leave this site up for a month or so and then take it down, the old echo beach coffee page is still around, but when I lost control of it, due to hackers, Facebook in their wisdom won’t take it down.

Thanks again to everyone and hopefully I’ll see you around town, dog treats in my pocket for my furry friends!
