Yesterday was Philippine Indepence Day

This year's celebration carried the theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.”, highlighting the country's enduring journey toward progress while honoring the sacrifices and aspirations of generations of Filipinos.

So let's take a moment to think about some of the Filipinos who have made an impact on modern society
Pioneers like Gregorio Y. Zara and Diosdado Banatao who laid the groundwork for modern telecommunications and computing. And of course women leaders such as Dr. Fe del Mundo revolutionized global pediatrics and neonatal care.

We're hoping to hold a little event to celebrate either this month or next, so keep an eye on this page

5 Week Beginners Courses for Cuban Style Salsa

*Next Course Starts Tuesday 12th May*

Learn Salsa with Phyre Dance every Tuesday.
Our Beginners Courses will teach you the Foundations and Fundamentals of Salsa- starting with Basic Steps, Body Movement and Timing.
Adding more each week, building your confidence until you are comfortable dancing Rueda and hopefully ready to join our higher level Tuesday Evening Salsa Lessons.

When: Tuesdays from 7pm

Late post, but......
Better late than never!

Now that we have had a little bit of time to recover, we wanted to take the opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to everybody that came to visit us, purchased from us, said hello to us at Jack In The Green on Monday. 💚

It was a completely manic day! And night before! And all with a sick toddler at home!

We completely SOLD OUT 🙌🏽
So thank you so much!

Thank you for your patience whilst waiting in an incredibly long queue.
And apologies to those who didn't get the chance to purchase any food once we ran out.
We even ran out of cake and water. 🙏🏽

Also, a huge thank you to our crew and helpers!
Everyone was amazing and we all worked our butts off in the run up and on the day.
Especially Mama Geny who was burning the midnight oil the night before prepping all the food.

Starting this month Mama Geny's will be showcasing local artists and displaying their art on our walls on a monthly basis.🎨 🖼️

Starting with the very lovely .art who will be showcasing their art on our walls starting next week and for the whole of May.🐇 🦌

We are kicking things off with an open evening to celebrate and coincide with World Earth Day.🌏

So this Wednesday 22nd April from 7pm-10pm pop on down to Mama Geny's for an evening of Art, Music and Poetry 🎶 🎤

This will be a FREE event and EVERYBODY Is WELCOME!🎉 🙌🏽

Food and drinks will be available to purchase on the night. 🍛 🍷

* a percentage of all sales will be donated to Barby Keel Animal Sanctuary
