It’s September! Summer has ended! Back to school! The leaves are turning brown! (Sorry for the jump scare)

Busy babka month ahead - September marks opening back on Saturdays again! Please note some closures though - the 12th Sept I will be at Bayit Bagels (therefore closed in Hastings) and on 18th Sept I will be closed in preparation for the The Yard at Waterworks Road Makers Market on the Saturday 19th! I have tried opening on the Fridays before a Makers market before but all that happens is I get 2 customers and just 100% more stressed.

Excited to say I’ll be returning to in the .btn this Saturday 12th September from 10.30am - 2.30pm with babka buns, loaves, cookies and cinnamon buns galore…

In honour of Rosh Hashanah which is that weekend, I’ll have a menu focused entirely on apples and honey in a multitude of forms and flavours… think apple crumble buns, burnt honey ganache, miso apple caramel, sweet salty honey nut buns… the list goes on!! 🍎🍯🐝

I’ll hopefully be using some of Bayit’s surplus bagels again to bring back the buttered bagel cookie which was super popular last time 🍪

This Saturday find me at .lane Spring Fair (Saturday only!) from 10am! 🌺💐🌼

I feel a little bit like a kid on their first day of school as it has been so long since I’ve done a market outside the Yard (what do you mean I have to be organised and bring everything with me … and wake up way earlier than usual 😬) but I’m very excited to be at the lovely Waterlane with a whole host of other amazing artisans.

I’ll be bringing lots with me and have been devising a very special menu - Waterlane is only about a 30 min drive from Hastings so if you are looking for something to do this Saturday - do stop by and say hi!

Here is a picture of my face (wearing babka merch of course!) to remind you that I am back open again this Friday and Saturday after having a week away :)

It was really lovely having time off that also ended up being a bit of a social media break (who knew that looking at one tiny app all day can lead you to make constant comparisons and feel bad about yourself all the time - haha not me 🙃)

But anyway back to more regular posting again for the time being - hope to see you this Friday and Saturday!!

April schedule is here! 🌹💐🌸🌺🌷🌻

I am open as normal this Friday (Good Friday) and Saturday (very unsure of amounts to do as I have a fair amount of preorders so would recommend arriving early to have the best choice!)

Please note the bakery is closed for a week from the 12th - 19th as I am away :) (really embracing not having the awful confines of statutory annual leave this year lol!)

But apart from that I am open every Friday and Saturday in April! And workshop spaces for BABKLAY with .pottery are still available - we would love for you to join where we will make special babka buns and even more special boxes that look like babka out of clay 😌😌
