Funky Fish 'n Chips is a little company that thinks big, set up to bring you the original, great British take-out - traditional fish n chips. We're bringing our pop-up food truck - aka 'the Beast' - to rural communities in Hurstpierpoint and Sayers Common, plus select events around Sussex. We produce sizzling, crispy battered fish n chips and other firm favourites, all made with love. And we're t
alking environmentally here, not as in green around the gills! Our fish is sustainably sourced of course, we use fully compostable VegWare packaging and our fuel has zero emissions. We're members of both the NCASS and the Federation of Fish Fryers. Our Frymaster General Russell Bright trained for 2 years working voluntarily as an apprentice fryer in a reputable Sussex chippy before setting up FFNC. In a former life he was a graphic designer, but 3 years ago he had an epiphany for a fresh start in the fish n chip bizz - all driven by a passion for fresh, tasty, sustainable fish n chips and his love of meeting and working with people. You'll find him and his friendly team frying up delicious fish n chips in Sayers Common Community Shop on Thursday afternoons (4.30-8.30pm) and in Hurstpierpoint on Fridays (4.30pm - 9pm). Drop by some time and get a taste of greatness down your gullet!
