Again thank you Harwich Shanty Festival for another fabulous day down the cafe today. I was asked today if we would be open in the morning at the time I wasn’t completely sure because of another commitment, I now have a plan in place and we will be open from 8 to fill your bellies with breakfast before you make your journeys home. I’m so grateful to everyone that has visited us to eat this weekend. We have got through 4kg of bacon, 56 eggs and I’ve lost count on sausages! It’s been amazing. It’s truly been a pleasure. I can’t wait for next year☕️

Another fantastic day down the cafe today thanks to Harwich Shanty Festival and everyone else that paid us a visit. Despite it being very cold so many of you came to eat with us. We will be there again at 8am tomorrow morning for your breakfasts and hopefully another great day will be had by all. What a wonderful way to start wrapping up at the end of an incredible summer and season. I am so grateful to each and everyone who stops by.☕️

As from Monday the 14th September we shall be reducing the opening hours of Mumma’s during the week to 11 till 2pm. Also please note that due to the season slowing down the will be no Mr Whippy on in the week.
We are hoping to continue at weekends as normal for as long as the weather allows.☕️

Anyone else think the government emergency alert last night was not called for. Yes we know places are burning. However I had a lot of my older customers today who felt quite frightened by it as I did myself. I don’t feel like the government should be hitting our phones, Alexis or any other devices. Without real course for concern. And surely if this very important alert needed to go out it should have been weeks ago before half the country has already been burned. Not one to usually post on this kind of thing but some of my customers were genuinely freaked out by this.
