Have you ever been to a Lenten feast, inspired by historical records from 1481?
John Howard, first duke of Norfolk, lord of the manor, politician, 2nd most important person to die at the battle of Bosworth Field and generally very important chap. Lord Howard was in Harwich in the run up to Easter 1481 and there exists a list of provisions for his visit, including fish, exotic spices and more local fair, we have created a menu based on what he could have enjoyed on this visit. Book yourself in at Lambard's Salt House between 27th February and 28th March to find out more.
