Last night I had the pleasure of returning to Tylea’s Tearoom at The White Lion Antiques, and as always, it was a wonderful evening with a lovely audience.
If you've never been to the White Lion Antiques, the building is like a tardis! Hidden rooms, winding corridors and an absolute Aladdin's cave of fascinating treasures. During the interval, one of the ladies and I decided to have a little explore upstairs in the many rooms full of history.
As we were admiring all the wonderful antiques and chatting away, I suddenly heard a deep man's voice from the other side of the room say...
"Tick... tock."
I looked straight at the lady and asked, "Did you hear that?"
She replied, "I heard something... but I'm not sure what."
Naturally, I assumed someone else had wandered upstairs behind us. We looked around... nobody.
So, we shrugged it off and carried on exploring.
A few moments later we found ourselves standing in a narrow corridor. I'd become distracted by a couple of beautiful Beatrix Potter pictures when...
COUGH!
A very loud throaty cough again sounding like it came from a gentleman, sounded right beside us. Not down the corridor. Not from another room. Right next to us.
This time we both froze, my fellow explorer startled said "Well i definitelyheard that!".. and then, rather hilariously, me—the medium—promptly decided retreat was the better option! 😂🏃♀️
When everyone returned after the break, I shared what had happened. That's when my companion admitted she'd actually heard the "Tick... tock" too but hadn't wanted to say so at the time because she wasn't sure she'd heard it correctly.
Then came the really interesting part...
Several members of the audience told us they'd also heard the same deep mans voice elsewhere in the building during the evening.
To rule out the obvious, the venue confirmed there were only two gentlemen in the building: one remained on reception throughout the evening and the other was seated in the audience and had not ventured out. That I and my new friend were the only people on the level of the building during the evening.
Now, I'm not saying I have all the answers. There could always be an explanation we haven't thought of.
But what I can say is this...
In over twenty years of demonstrating mediumship, I've never experienced such a strong physical phenomenon witnessed independently by several different people in different parts of the same building.
Whether you see it as coincidence, mystery, or something a little more, it certainly made for a memorable evening... and gave everyone something to talk about over a cup of tea! ☕😊
