SCHOOL'S OUT! 🍦 ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!

The party is just beginning at Spofforth, people are arriving to relax and have fun for the end of term! It's the 5th and final school I had booked today! 🥵🤣

THANK YOU! To all the schools plus other events that have booked me so far this season, it is very much appreciated! It's been a weird & busy season so far especially with the extended heat!

Back at tomorrow, & all through the holidays! Plenty of events booked in, especially weekends right up until BONFIRE, yes Bonfire night! (1st & 6th Nov come find us!) But as the streets will be a touch quieter as people are away (I'm not jealous 😑😜) , I'll be taking an extra early finish during the week to recharge etc!

Ripon classic car show a week on Sunday at the racecourse!

Quality every time!

We've heard and seen a lot of posts re it's been too hot for ice cream! 👀🙄🤷 Machines not working correctly, and people being served slop at events etc etc.

We are not impervious to breakdowns, (🤞) and the machines and equipment do get tested to the max in this heat. So there are instances where that can happen to the best of us.

But we'd like to think we serve a quality product 10 times out of 10, from a quality modern vehicle, that is looked after and serviced/maintained regularly. The cheapest booking is never usually the best!

One of many reasons why we are a multi award winning, 4th generation ice cream van business!

Back outside tomorrow! Round and about later today.

[email protected] is the email, space this year is becoming VERY limited. Weekends are full till SEPTEMBER!

It's cooler but still hot for your pets! The amount of dogs I've seen being walked in the heat is mind blowing.

WEEKEND REMINDERS!

Leaving early around 2.30 for a school event today. Burton Leonard feast tomorrow, PIG cup charity football tournament at Ripon football club Sunday. Loads of schools booked in next week as it's the last week of term. Especially Thurs and Fri. Normal service resumes Monday.

ZERO SPACE, NONE! On weekends now till September! And soon as it rains I'm having a day off! 🥵😂

The weather is back! In town this week except Sat, (leaving early Friday for a school event) as I'm at Burton Leonard feast, then Sunday we are supporting this event too! Get yourself down to both this weekend! Stay safe in the heat and watch your pets!

Just a reminder for Sunday 12th July at Ripon City Football Club. The Portly Pig Ripon are holding a charity football tournament to raise funds for two local mental health charities involved in men's mental health: Andy's Man Club and Ripon Men's Shed.

It promises to be a great day, starting at 10am through to 3pm. A group of business-backed teams will compete in a 6-a-side format (with players aged 25 and over).

So forget Mr Infantino's ridiculously inflated World Cup prices and come along to RFC and have a great Yorkshire Day Out - FREE ENTRY. As for "Red Cards" .... we promise not to mention The VAR.

ITS SATURDAY! OYSTERS ARE BACK! (AGAIN 😂)

You keep asking, I keep forgetting. But OYSTERS are back in stock. These are better than the last version we recently got. Crispy wafer, chocolate and coconut. Marshmallow inside. Plus our multi award winning Ice cream! Those of you who are old enough , will remember the square shape was how they used to be in years gone by! (We've still got a sticker somewhere!). Come get one outside right now!

REMINDER:

Tues 7th Sat 11th we are not in town, and Fri 10th we leave early due to a school event! Only a few weeks of school left then disruption is down to a minimum!

🌞 SCHOOL IS ALMOST OUT! 🍦

Where has that gone? Anyhoo. Regardless of weather, please bear with us these next two weeks till the start of the school holidays, loads booked in especially that last 3 days , the last week of term!

We are outside the most days except next Tuesday, then some days the last week of term. Weather permitting. But there will be the odd early finish/ late arrival as most things are in the morning or after 4pm the odd day.

Apologies for any inconvenience. Then after that we are pretty much here right through the school holidays bar the odd day.

Weekends are pretty full now right into September with only the very odd space! So if you haven't already booked you're probably out of luck!

The weather is meant to warm up again at the end of the week, so it seems summer has very much arrived!

The holidays/ August mean the streets get quieter as more people are away, so I'll be having a night off here and there during the week. And to keep things fresh we'll alternate what is covered more too!

The worrying thing is, a lot of people will miss these references! 🤣 I'm obviously old!

Bit cooler (a tiny bit) today. Come grab one outside Harrogate town FC are here too with some little footy drills. Plus there's the seats and coffee van too! Very busy on the piazza these days!

Round and about a bit tonight before the England game. (Hopefully a slightly better watch!) If I don't get to you tomorrow (Sunday! Although I usually fit most people in) I'll make sure I'm there Monday! And so on.. Tuesday looks like rain so that might be a very well needed day off because I'm cream crackered!! 🤪

🥵IT'S DEFINITELY HOT ENOUGH! 🥵

Even too hot for some ice cream colleagues! And yes, it can stop people coming into town etc! We are busy, the heat ends Sunday and it'll be back to normal. Maybe I'm insane but I'm still outside till 4 ISH then a school event, and back again tomorrow!

LOADS booked in regardless of the weather! WEEKENDS ARE FULL UNTIL LATE AUGUST, and September is busy on weekends also!

‼️PHONE CALLS!‼️THIS MAY SOUND HARSH BUT...

If you call and don't leave a message I can only assume it's not important or you think I'm at home ready to drop what I'm doing and come immediately to your office etc! You have no chance sorry. Therefore I won't bother calling you back UNLESS... YOU.. LEAVE...A.. MESSAGE.

I get lots of spam calls in amongst the 10 or so a day when the weather is like this! Plus the FB messages etc won't get answered till very late in the evening if not the next day!

THERE'S STILL PEOPLE WALKING DOGS ON HOT CONCRETE IN THIS WEATHER! UNBELIEVABLE. Stay cool and hydrated. Enjoy the weather if you can. We'll get to you all as soon as we can.

🌡️HOTTEST WEEK OF THE YEAR INCOMING! 🔥
3 things, please read! ‼️ Please read‼️

1. Right. On a Sports day today. Then tomorrow onwards I am back outside the for what will be the hottest few days of the year so far!

2. "Where are you" "Can you come round to x there's 3 of us wanting ice cream" etc etc is what we get lots of, especially when it gets crazy hot! So...
Phone calls & messages will likely not be answered until late in the evening SO LEAVE A MESSAGE! The amount who call and call again, but don't is getting silly. We also get lots of spam too! SO. LEAVE. A. MESSAGE!
The round will also take longer too, as each stop is that bit busier...So if we don't get to you Tues, I will get to you wed and Vice versa so we can get to everyone, including those I haven't managed to get to for a bit.

3. CARD PAYMENTS! If you are using your card or phone *TAKE YOUR SHADES OFF!* KNOW YOUR PIN! *HAVE MONEY ON IT OR A SPARE CARD THAT ISN'T IN THE CAR/WASH/SPARE ROOM! For whatever reason, some folks are making card payments very hard work and taking a long time!

FINALLY... That being said I do love and appreciate all my customers, so I'm not picking on anyone! But the heat will get to us all this week! 🫸🫷
